John Sim is a former Web Designer
and Producer at Jagex, made the current
Jagex.com
design (source).
He also made serveal "prototypes" and
one of them included a menu that shows
"Rune Scape", "FunOrbs" and "SpaceCombat"
in the 'Games' menu.
Mechscape Gameplay
Mechscape is likely a remake of a
classic Jagex mech based game. The game
contained ships in space which dropped
down aliens, mechs, and humans. This is
one of the oldest Jagex games and it is
possible that they were just waiting for
the technology for the graphics came out
before making it. They may also have
just used the concept / idea but turned
it into an RPG game.
