CAMBRIDGE, UK -- 10/23/2009 -- 9:24 PM GMT - Mark Gerhard, the CEO of Jagex, which is the creator of the hit online game RuneScape, were many of the ones, such as "moot" and "Xzibit", invited to speak in the Webster Annual PopCulture Fest. In this public meeting, Martin Webster, a Webster official, discussed the reasons for adding certain slang words to their upcoming dictionaries, and will often invite people responsible or related to slang words.

The slang word is "soon", and the definition is:

soon
Pronunciation: \ˈsün, especially New England ˈsu̇n\
Function: adverb
Etymology: Middle English soone, from Old English sōna; akin to Old High German sān immediately
Date: before 12th century
1 a obsolete : at once : immediately b : without undue time lapse : before long <soon after sunrise>
2 : in a prompt manner : speedily <as soon as possible> <the sooner the better> <no sooner said than done>
3 archaic : before the usual time
4 : in agreement with one's choice or preference : willingly <I'd just as soon walk as drive>
5 : /slang/ The opposite of soon : delayed as long as possible.

The slang for "soon" originates from their humorous use for soon, telling fans that their upcoming MMO "Stellar Dawn" will be released "Soon".

Associated Press writers Dan Elliott and Colleen Slevin in Denver and Greg Risling in Los Angeles contributed to this report.

Nice fan fiction! Made me laugh, so that's a good thing. I think they should release Stellar dawn at the proper, non-slang meaning of soon, but I doubt that will happen.
