You don't need Photoshop skills...
You've just got to run the contests

I think the rule about being involved but not being able to enter is silly, anyone in the team should be able to control themselves not to vote for themselves anyway! If you changed that rule, there is no doubt in my mind I would apply but it seems silly to be excluded from a competition which would reduce it's activity and it reduces whilst you are getting people to organize. You have to think about it properly, to many people organizing without many entries means no signatures.

I'm asking for a few people. Perhaps only one.
When I took up the SOTW Laura told me I was not allowed to enter as the last guy rigged it. So the same applies to anybody that helps.

If you go by the rule that everyone has to post their votes and give a reason you get no rigging of the competition and you are also able to get criticism and advice on your work. Just a small simple adjustment like using 3 points for most popular with a reason then 2 points for your second favorite with a reason and the same applies for last place. Don't be afraid to work off of other people, she may have said to work that way which is fine but there is always a better alternative, with no disrespect to Laura.

Fatal has a point, but I think we just need more publicity. When MS comes out, we should hopefully be relatively flooded with members entering it. But that could be months, maybe a year before MS comes out. In the meantime, we could all advertise it in our signatures.
EDIT: Yeh, the Sals system works well.

I'd rather not have a thread full of votes. It means I'd have to deviate to set-up multiple threads again and give away free post count

It's not really that elaborate. One topic for entries and one topic for voting. If you are looking at this in terms of effort, personal messaging everyone is alot more effort than making another topic. Also part of the reason why competitions held in private never work is for that exact reason that it's private. You shouldn't just have the people involved allowed to vote. Everyone should be able to vote else the competition will never get anywhere.

I'm saying people PM me, I don't ask for votes.
Last time I did that, I got complaints that it was complicated. More people are happy this way than the other way. Perhaps we'll have a review soon?
I'm not saying that.
Everybody can vote except the people running it...

Sorry I got that wrong earlier.
EVERYBODY can vote, but if your a helper, you can't enter.
Does that solve everybody's questions?

Me and Darth will now be sharing a board for competitions, so there will be other contests in the board.
This is if we get the green light :)

Yes, we are currently talking to pc right now so we can brain wash her into giving us a new forum for ALL the compeitions.
So there will be caption this, SOTW, art contest, and others.
That is if PC will give us it.

I am starting the caption again next week. It depends on how long it takes the contest.
And I thought the Large Art was once a year?

I personally enjoy the caption more than SOTW as it requires no skill in graphics except a witty comment. I really don't think it should be restricted to once a year...
As for SOTW, it's great to get more helpers. I'd be of no use however and currently have too much on.
