Last year I had programming and web design for either half of the year. THis year i have programming 2 next half, so I wont be on in school till then.

Next half of the school year I will probably be able to post here. Thats when I have tv production and the teacher that doesn't care what we do.

At my school to get past the filter u just need to add 's' in the http:// so https://

Ours is done by LGFL, Synterix an Netsweeper. You can't type the url as it's blocked as web chat, just go to MSW home page and click on a post :P

I tried the I.P. address thing and it'll only let me go to the main page. If I click on any links it'll say the page is blocked again.

I'll check what the security thing they use is tomorrow.

At school? Erm... I get detation every month. I do almost nothing in class. Sometimes i read a book that is very interesting, but it has nothing to do with the class. Well basically i try to break the rules without the authorities know.

Almost every day in 7th period (computer class), I get on these forums (along with the Sanctioned Alliance MechScape Clan Forums). I also do some surfing around the interwebz, but not a whole lot. Today, after I finished typing my vocabulary words, I spent the rest of my time taking the Impossible Quiz. I think I got to question 40 something, but I can't remember well.

Other than that, I spend the rest of my time learning, or having other fun, but mostly learning. Education is very important.

Sadly, at least a fourth of the teenagers in America think like you.

Mechscape World is blocked on the school filters. Which is annoying since I think I went there all of three or four times last year.

Not only do I not have time to post on this in school, we have an internet filter for anything that might have the word "crap" in it. If you rearrange the letters for Mechscape World, there is indeed a "crap" in it, so the filter will catch it.

In middleschool I had only a few chances to even get on a computer, and when I was they monitored it heavily. In highschool I had a networking class where all the computers were watched by the teacher via a monitoring program, which I easily got around. I told him I couldn't log on, so he logged onto his account to let me make my own... I did so, with admin privileges. I then deleted the program from my computer. Other things I used to do during school was sleep during class (only when we weren't working or when they would teach about stuff I already knew). Another highschool I went to had a LOT of security on their computers, you couldn't even rightclick or edit things or anything! Well, I could.
Now that I am in college and it costs money I can't and don't want to do those things during class. College is so much cooler, anyway.

My school has this hideous blocking system that they have made to block everything except Wikipedia and Hotmail. In NCEA year thirteen, this is very annoying as we cannot use Wikipedia as a valid source. Also, my school does not have a wireless connection so I cannot go on my laptop either. I would probably not go on MSW at school if I could anyway.

I surf the forum sometimes during computer class. We're currently installing OSes via VMware so there's not much to do while I wait.

I think you really need to pay attention instead of playing RS.

@TOM: LGFL should be the same as E2BN, so download you some portable Firefox or Greenbrowser and you can defeat the filters, or if you don't want to install anything to your stick then try and set to connect through vanilla port 80 HTTP on IE. That probably won't work tho, I think they patched it, so alternative browsers are the best way to go.

im taking my GED this month because i cant seem to pass a few classes that i need to graduate. So im only at school about 3 hours a week, im also currently unemployed and it sucks

I found out a way to download Firefox onto my schools computers. Every time my teacher would come by my computer last year in Computer Science she would take a double look to see why my screen looked so different than the rest :p

Though my school was using some crappy hand-me-down computers that had a primitive internet explorer from the year 2000 (most likely) as it's default. I'm glad I got around the whole needing authority to download and install :p
