Hello MSW. I recently bought with my two million gold pieces 70,000 raw trout. I plan on cooking these trout and subsequently raise my Cooking level to 91, (when I started it was 70 now it's 71). I am free to play and use this cooking method:

I bank at Edgeville then go one square outside and light a fire, then cook all my trout. Bank and repeat.

I am wondering if this is the fastest cooking method in free to play, if you know of any faster ways, please inform. :)

If anyone else in F2P is cooking, if they want to join me they are more than welcome, seeing as cooking alot of fish can get boring at times. :P I am always in world 106, unless a rare occasion, and you can always ask for me in Skill Union clan chat.

I think it would be faster at GE, because you dont need to go outside to light the fire. Also Draynor village is a good place.

For one, Trout is a very, very slow method to train. For just a little more money, you can upgrade to Salmon which is one hell of a lot faster.

Secondly, using a fire is not really the best method. I experimented with it for a while but you're probably better of to go for a range as it may be a tad slower but it's a lot more reliable. Go to Al Kharid, and turn roofs off in your graphic options. You can use the kebab shop range and if you angle the camera right you can click on the bank booth from where you're cooking.

I got 99 cooking at the Al Kharid bank.

Take one step outside of the bank.
Make a virtual camp fire, which will make you step back into the bank (vs. away from the bank at other locations).
Once you're done with an inventory, put your cooked food away, and make another fire beside your previous one.

lobster: 120 XP / 55 gp

(XP = amount of XP, gp = price difference between cooked and raw)

What is the use of that u still have to run all the way to the bank.

If you're anything like me that's more than worth not having to light fires.

I went from level 74 to 96 cooking just using creating a fire and cooking at the GE. By far it is the best method that I've come across.
