I just thought up of a petition that may or may not persuade Jagex to release the game with what they've got then add in the rest later...because they say already that the game is playable and finished , but it shouldnt really take freaking another 5 months to do that. So..is anyone interested in signing a Petition, then i or an admin here on mechscape world can send it in to jagex?

I don't think that's a good idea. I've never heard of a company releasing a game from someone making a petition.
I think you should send them a nice letter about what you think of it all and how you wish they'd release it soon or some information. Perhaps they'd get more motivated

They read these forums. It's not like one day out of the blue a petition shows up at their door, and they then begin to realize that we want the game.
They know there is a demand for Stellar Dawn to be released. Nothing we do is going to make the game come out any sooner than it should.

I don't support. I feel that we don't know enough to make any sort of judgment call.

Since jagex reads these forums they're gonna see this topic, and if they do end up getting a petition they'll probably just ignore it, I've signed a few game petitions in my time (I hapily signed the star wars battlefront 3 petition 8 times) but I wouldn't have signed this one. We just need to hope that they JUST HURRY UP DAMMIT and be patient.

It'd never work. Even if we got enough names, they wouldn't listen.
You'll just have to wait

I would totally sign a petition but for this....no. Drac, a lot of your ideas are good but a petition is pointless. Yes; it might grab their attention. No; it won't get us any closer to MS than we are now. It's their product and it's not like we're petitioning(?) the closing of a position or offensive content in the game. We'll just have to wait.

By the time you have enough votes it'll have been released anyway so why bother? But if you want i'll sign...

A release some RELEVANT in-game and NEW info petition would be something I'd support.

Yeah. I've come to the idea that they have no clue what they are doing with dates. For a game to be delayed a YEAR, that's not a good sign.

I think that it would be a better idea to just wait for it to come out. In my experience, if something is rushed, it isn't nearly as good, and in games, "Good Enough" never cuts it. I say we be patient and wait for Jagex to release it. At the worst, I'd expect it out in late winter, 2010, which isn't a horrible expectancy for MS. But, this is just my opinion.

Second that, I'm happy to wait another year providing I know a little more about what I'm waiting for.

I honestly doubt that any company would release a game just because of a petition. If it was finished they would just release it. But its not its "being polished"

I'm with you two! Just as long as I find out more confirmed info, interviews, etc. then I don't care how long I wait.

I think they've been polishing for at-least 10+ months. Seeing as the game was suppose to be released in March, so they would polish it before that and then they continued to polish it and they continue to polish. Reaching for perfection, I guess and it isn't going to happen.

If i am creating a drawing, and i want to put every detail onto it and then i figure out my drawing is done but then i figure out i made a big mistake on the arms and legs, then i would have to "erase" the current arms and legs and "re-do" them to make it look right...
Now here's the catch. if a bunch of people come up to me and gave me a petition of 200+ people to just turn my drawing in...would i just turn in the drawing with the arms and legs that are completely messed up and ruin the whole picture? or should i wait awhile and finish the arms and legs so that the end result would be 100%?
The choice is always yours...well, most of the time.

Look, there is probably no chance that they will release it early just from a petition. Although there are alot of people questioning why it is taking them so long to release the game even though Jagex stated that it is finished and playable.
Even though this will probablt make no impact on the release date I would be happy to sign a petition asking for an earlier release.
Thankyou.

I would like a release the delted game in a small version for us to try and give feedback then delete it fully. Or a prioritise the beta version of SD so it comes out earlier but to release it now and play catchup. Nah. MMG made the right decision. He just made a few smaller ones which we pick on because we are annoyed just as everybody else is. It's fine to pick on them but do not question the big rework because it was the right thing to do.

You cannot simply demand/force Jagex to release Stellar Dawn early. Those who agree with a petition, get some patience. They will release it when it's good and ready.

1. It wouldn't work.
2. I wouldn't sign it on my life, let it get as good as it can get.
3. Did you see the trailer? It looks horrible at the moment.

Guys, he created the thread on the 18th, before the original video was released. I wouldn't call it a gravedug topic, but that's really what it is.

1. That's a really old video.
2. They scrapped MechScape.
3. Doesn't show any gameplay aspects.
