Those who have unraveled the mysteries of the plague in West Ardougne, met with the elves and infiltrated the Death Guard will find themselves able to help Arianwyn once again, as they go Within the Light.
In reactivating the Temple of Light’s safeguards, you may have thwarted the Death Guard’s plans to harness the ancient elven power of a certain altar – at least for the time being – but just what is so special about this altar? Why did the elder elves go to such trouble to protect this one particular altar? Find out as you further explore the mysterious Temple of Light.
This quest is a continuation of RuneScape’s longest-running quest line, the first three parts of which – Plague City, Biohazard and Underground Pass – were originally released for RuneScape Classic. Four further quests later – Regicide, Roving Elves, and Mourning’s Ends Parts I and II – plus the Catapult Construction side story, and we reach Within the Light.
As it has been a while since those quests were released, this quest introduces a new NPC in Lletya – the elven scribe – who will happily help you to recall your past elf-related glories. Within the Light ties together some of the strands of this storyline, which will start to give you a better idea of what is to come.

I find it quite amusing really, My friend (cb lv 89) did all the quests except this one, he dreaded doing it, and this was his last quest before he got the cape lol XD

During the quest you get your bow upgraded to a Huge crystal one.
Not confirmed yet as i haven't seen someone with it just multiple people saying it.

Interesting, is there a return of the dreaded light puzzle?

WLT was fun but rather lackluster, the crystal tree puzzle was significantly easier than the MEP2 temple puzzle. EXP reward is fairly reasonable.
Prifddinas has been reverted to seed form (with the exception of the walls) to protect it from an attack from the Dark Lord (Zamorak).
Also, the gnome can't be released yet, but there are two new NPC cleaners in his cell who are interesting to talk with.

I finished it this morning. It's a total of 95k exp reward, nothing else. It gives us some cool info about Prifddinas (cool = any info at all), but it's both short and easy. Don't get your expectation up too high.

Wow, that is some high requirements.
Also it is cool now that you can withdraw gp from your bank by typing in like 2k.

There is no way I'll ever be able to do that quest, but it's always nice to see an update. I'm actually more excited about the other updates, but the quests sounds cool. I am nowhere near close to finished with any of the required quests, and I am way away with Range. My Range is like 30 or so, so I won't be doing that anytime soon.

Hey, did you find it strange to have a dead slave in there? I mean, how the HECK did he get in there? It was nice of them to provide a hatchet and knife, of course, but...really...

If you read the note he was carrying you would have learnt that the dead slave was inexplicably teleported into the room when the dig team and other slaves were killed by the shadows.

Didn't know he had a note. Heh, that explains it nicely, thanks.

Eh, I don't care too much for quest rewards. I'm a big fan of RuneScape lore, so I'll do this for the info about Priff.

Not really, as we don't know why he was teleported into the room (and not the rest of the crew) and why there is a bloodstain when he probably died of dehydration.

Hey again all,
I hope you've enjoyed the new quest and continuation of this storyline.
As some of you have gathered, it isn't meant to be super-difficult (although there is something about the puzzle that no-one has mentioned yet...)
We wanted to make a quest that would bring you back to the storyline after so long, answer a few questions about a certain city *not* on the map and as the newspost says, give you an idea of what is to come.
To be truthful about the future; with other projects on the go, we do not have the graphics time as of yet to give the city the justice it deserves, but have no doubt I have grandmaster-plans for the continuation of the storyline, which I will be discussing with other developers and when graphics is available to work on it... we'll see.
Until then, happy questing.

I agree, when I heard that Prif
got reverted to seed form I thought that was a huge cop-out. It's nice to know they're actually going to make the spectacle we've been waiting for as it needs to be done justice.

I really liked this quest. It had a nice story, good puzzle and overall, it felt nice.
The requirements were a bit of a stretch. The quest was short and easy.
Looking forward for the next quest! :)
Thank you
