Yesterday I found that Jagex got two new trademarks:
- DEVIOUS GAMES
- CUNNING & DEVIOUS GAMES

Hmm, maybe they are working on a remake of Devious&Cunning Games, old Andrew Gower website with games?

Note: It was Cunning & Devious Games, not "Devious&Cunning Games".

They probably will over time. They have it trademarked and that is the first step towards progress that we know.

Very very interesting... i wonder if we'll be seeing the return of battlezone, grinders or any of the other old cunninganddevious games.

I raised this at Mod MMG's Q&A ("Can you shed any light on why Jagex recently trademarked "Devious Games" and "Cunning & Devious Games"?") and this is his response:

So either they don't have any firm plans or they aren't ready to reveal them yet.

Well would the games be any good? From the one screenshot I've seen of an old game, it didn't look too great.

They've already remade Vertigo and Monkey Puzzle, two games which I think were on Devious & Cunning? They also might be looking to relabel FunOrb, as it hasn't been a wild success. At all.

They are pretty good, although they don't look like it. It's like playing a classic Atari game, but better.

I hope they decide to remake the first person shooter game they had back in the days. (Destruction Imminent)

Applications for Devious Games (trademark number 008936502) and Cunning & Devious Games (trademark number 008936511) were submitted to the European Union Trade Marks Office on March 3rd.

Sounds epic but even intellectual property rights fail at working out that the UK is a kingdom and not a country FFS!

I feel that this may be cool but also a big letdown because the games might just turn out to be rubbish... It may be better to just make new games altogether.
