How the hell should we know? We don't even know the main object of the game yet.
EDIT : Wow, just realized what you asked. Tell me this - Can you play RS on a Mac?

At the moment, nobody but jagex knows. It is a question that should be brought up to jagex

Although if it includes DirectX graphics, then they won't work on macs - so the game will work but maybe not with the best graphics.

The game is programmed in Java (because they use the same technologies as RS), so that would mean that it will run on Mac, as Java runs on Mac.

Since it pretty much shares an engine with RuneScape I'm expecting it to have a similar level of Mac compatibility.

It will. A huge part of Jagex's customer base uses Macs, so they wouldn't want to lose that.

if it didn't t would kinda defeat their "casual access" goal

Jagex is all about compatibility; whether the game would work on multiple operating systems. I am sure that Mechscape, like runescape, would be able to run on a multitude of operating systems, including Macs.

I wouldn't say a huge part but it no doubt is valuable to include all computer systems including Linux. I have played RuneScape on a Linux, Windows and Mac.
