The giant beast stood before him - Lava flowing over its body composed of rocks. The heat of the cavern caused a thick veil of sweat to block his eyes. The shining blade was heavy in his hands, and his head was drooping with the weight of the helm. The metal burned against his body, trapping in the heat, as he continued his battle.

A sharp blow to the head, and he tasted metal in his mouth. His heart beat shuddered throughout the cavern as the Tz-Tok-Jad was ready to lay the final blow, as it brought its fists down upon the overturned man. He jumped out of the way, as a loud tone, surprisingly clear, as if the monster and ground were hollowed metal, came from the collision.

He pulled out a vial containing a thick black liquid. Upon opening the cap, a steam rose from it, and an acrid scent filled the air. He poured the liquid down his throat, scalding with unnatural fire. It hit his stomach red hot, and burned through his veins. The explosion burst through his body, his skin feeling as if it was on fire, his fingertips tingling.

Everything slowed. Every detail thumped against his consciousness with vigor. The monster glowed in his sight. The Godsword shone brightly. The handle of the blade was cool in his hands, and felt light enough to carry in one hand.

He jumped at the monster, the armor weightless, and seemed to be suspended in the air. He brought the sword down upon the beasts head, molten rock flying in every direction.

The monster melted into a puddle of lava, which melted through the floor like water in dirt, leaving a glowing, molten cape. However, just as he went to grab the cape, his body felt as if he had ingested the liquid again. His limbs were torn apart, as he fell to the ground, clutching his burning chest as his sword fell to the ground, his armor dematerialized, and the room twisted and turned until it made the shape of the entry to the fight caverns.

Oh dear, you are dead!
