It seems they are now looking for a Website designer.
Pretty sure that its new on the current vacancies list, I dont remember seeing it until now.

Could this be Mechscape related?
ZarkonisR
They... Are done with MechScape... They've got it stable, now they're putting it on a website... That explains more than you know.
Hayaemsay
This isn't necessarily a sign of an imminent MechScape as it's quite possible that one of the current web-devs has decided to move on. It's likely that both FunOrb and RuneScape's websites are managed by the same team.
Fireske
Possibly, but you would think they would have some sort of website designer already. Isn't the game in 'polishing' stage or something? The main webpage that users first visit isn't something you want to leave to the last minute to create.
DjIceman
You know, there are web designers with different 'styles', I suppose. For instance, RuneScape's design greatly differs from my own personal designing 'style'.

So, really, it is quite likely that they are looking for a designer for Stellar Dawn's website. And the following quote is likely proving it:
QUOTE
# Designing new websites from initial concept design through to implementation and production of style guides for future updates.

Ironically enough, I tweeted on one of their photos about a meeting, saying how nice it would work there and asking if they would have a spot open for a web designer! :o

Must be a coincidence... or is it? blink.gif

Thank you

That vacancy has been there for a while, actually.

No, I was on a few days ago and it wasn't up.

It'd be a neat job, and no doubt the StellarDawn website is basically complete.

Err... If they're looking for someone to design it, it's hardly complete.

Err...I fail to see where they said it's for StellarDawn. It said new sites. It might be for more funorb games to have their own sites, like Arcanists.

Hmm...

Interesting! It does seem as though they might be making an MS site, but it could be, as mentioned above, that the old web designer moved on. Who knows. I really hope that it is MS though...

Hey, maybe Jagex really does mean 'soon' biggrin.gif . idk still, doesn't REALLY say anything but its still RLY cool!

We will just need to wait and see thumbsup.gif

Urgh, I wonder if they've written all the knowledge base and stuff. If they haven't that would surely take a month at least.
Moat
lets just hope its mechscape..

Website design = coding a website to look how you want it. Creating websites does not mean registering a new domain and redirecting it which is the case with Arcanists.

Also, Nobody has seen the Stellar Dawn website, so who are you to say it's complete?

Let's hope not, seeing as it would take a while to design the website and not to mention the time to hire someone.

Erm... Website design is ABSOLUTELY NOT coding a website.

Web design is DESIGNING the actual site. Then, the design (usually a .PSD (PhotoShop Document) source file) gets passed onto the programmer. In this case, the site would move onto the programming, and from there, to content adding stage.

Now all of this could take from 2 weeks to a month or so.

Thank you

the design and programming doesn't have to take long but making sure all links and pages work is sure going to take a while so lets all hope MS/SD's website is ready because if it's not then MS/SD won't be coming "Soon".
displayname
im sure its for all jagex websites
