About RuneWire

What is RuneWire?

RuneWire is a micoblogging service aimed at RuneScape players. RuneWire can be used by any RuneScape player no matter whether you just started playing or are a seasoned veteran. RuneWire will provide you with an instant way to share what you are doing on RuneScape with others. Not only are you able to post what you're doing on RuneScape instantly, you can upload screenshots, share videos, and post events as well! Since the release of RuneWire 2 you are also able to tell your friends and other users where you are.

Of course with any online community it is only natural to share your content with your friends. Once logged in you will be able to switch to Friends' Activity which will allow you get a complete rundown on everything your friends have been up to.

RuneWire 2 expands on the capability of the friends list in such a way that it becomes intertwined with the groups feature. A group in essence is a simple way to organize friends. So if you have a group of friends that you frequent the God Wars Dungeon with you can create a group on RuneWire for this and send message directly to that group.

For a more complete view of RuneWire 2 watch our "Introduction to RuneWire 2" video.
Why RuneWire?

RuneWire was created out of the need to quickly state what was going on in RuneScape without the hassle of needing to create a full blown blog posting. It was inspired by people who all play(ed) RuneScape at one point or another in their lives. The goal of RuneWire is to accomplish this in the simplest way possible.
Who created RuneWire?

RuneWire was created by and is powered by Runescape Bits & Bytes. RuneWire was originally conceived by Shane, Jeff, and Mushroom Queen. Shane handled most of the internal working alongside the database, Jeff handled any XHTML and CSS requirements along side special projects, and Mushroom Queen was responsible for the original RuneWire design. Mike also had a hand in RuneWire through the development of the interactive map and integrating it within RuneWire.

That looks cool.

Maybe they will make a mechscape (Stellar Dawn) version.

Made by the same people from RSB&B, that's encouraging. I always use that site.

You're all late to the party, RuneWire was launched quite awhile ago. Although it's about time RSB&B got some daylight, Shane, Mike and company have done a fair few interesting projects.
