Santa hats are over 30m because of the price manipulation,I remember when I bought one for 13m blink.gif
This is the real problem of Runescape, not the 76k trick. Some persons like her change the prices of some items making it impossible to buy. This is worse than the old 2007 scamming and still Jagex can't bann people like her.

Then don't buy.

It's getting fixed soon, yes it's a big problem, yes they are working hard on a solution.

You've got it all wrong. Santa hats are currently 30m because of 26/76king. Because of the shoddy PvP update countless amount of GP have been added to the game, creating a massive vortex inflating the prices of items. However once you add the amount of people with enough money to merchant now, you get enough people to buy out an item. Once enough people panic towards an item, thinking it will be bought out, you get junk trading and rising of street price.

I wouldn't be too quick to blame the community. I would look into Jagex. The only question I want answered is why the PvP's cash waterfall nozzle hasn't been turned off yet.

I'm happy I finally got 82 RC, so that I can work my butt off and maybe actually buy a santa after my 5 years of trying
Revlis
They're making it impossible to do that. The prices will simply change at Jagex' decision to do so.

All I can see from their update to the GE is even more restrictions which will screw the game up further. The only solution I can see is to remove the trade limits and we all know how likely that is...
Dracul
the other solution is to allow players to open up their own market stalls to sell their own items
