Possibilities:
New Animations for weapons
New Quest involving Imps or New Imps to catch in puro puro.
Possibly a soulwars update as there is an imp there.

People have been asking for an update on how the project's going. Currently I'm finishing off adding display names to the current Classic game, as part of the release schedule for Mod Duncan's project. I've started work on virtual servers, but that's at a very early stage and will take much longer - like I said, you guys shouldn't expect to see it out this year. Well I think that one's pretty clear; we're working on the Halloween event but it's not finished yet.

Same is happening with mechscape but what is there for Jack H to say about Runescape Classic?
Mechscape has alot of things that can be said of like its pvp skills races minigames quests mechanics ect...

I think it might have something to do with Evil Dave. Mostly because of the word "EXTREME!!"

We didn't have an update last week, so we should get one this week (Mod Ajd said they would return after 5th October).
It's too early for a Halloween event, it's usually a week or so before Halloween it happens.

on a more serious note we are here to discuss the possible runescape update we might be having this week and not the idiocy of sailing and i believe putting the picture up everywhere when someone says sailing it would be spam unless its your signature.
I think that this is either releasing a little bit about the Halloween event or maybe a new quest imp-related.
Maybe a new imp quest? They haven't done anything with them in a while.

After reading through the Future Updates forum on the RSOF, I've gathered all the Twitter hints and started thinking about what the next update could be. I actually did think about possible new player-look options (more hair, clothes, and even NEW options, etc..)
Just now, as I was browsing the MSW forums, I came across one of Spire's threads on makeup (for female and possible male characters in RS). Here's the topic:
After seeing Spire's thread, I'm beginning to believe that makeup in RuneScape might be in the near future (if not this next update). Along with this, there is the mention of imps, which would probably be completely separate from this makeup feature.
Any thoughts? And Spire, I'd love to hear your thoughts as well.

The makeup seems more like JaGEx flexing their Java muscles more than a required update. Sure guys, we know how detailed you can get with it, how about releasing some appreciated updates.

Oh, but Cutter! I DID mention that the supposed update with imps is something completely different from a possible "makeup" update.
Yes the combo flavours might relate to it.
But im guessing its going to be the Worse Update EVER! :P
