I was just cutting magic trees in Stellar Dawn mdoe, using the web client, and i cut 3 magics and i didn't get a single xp! Thats just more proof that stellar dawn won't use xp or skills. Im trying to find more things with stellar dawn mode so yeah......
It gave me XP for a couple of logs. Now it'sstopped again. Ive changed back to my rune hatchet to stop me from losing charges.

I'm pretty that Jagex doesn't want us playing on Stellar Dawn mode, and that could be why there is no exp being given :P

Even if Stellar Dawn uses RuneScape's game engine, it doesn't mean it's going to suck. Think about Valve's
game engine /
Orange Box. They just keep making new games using technology they already created.

If Jagex cared, they would have made it impossible to do.

Still no XP. Has it got to do something with the sacred clay hatchet? I just started using it.

Stellar Dawn mode isn't exactly what it says it is. It is a compilation of a loading screen, and a few small tweaks. It is NOT Stellar Dawn in itself. It's what would happen if you played RuneScape in Stellar Dawn code, which is probably: A) Incomplete, B) Loading off a different server(Which it is, and that's why the controls are the same, the graphics are the same, etc.) or C) all of the above.
See, we can't judge Stellar Dawn on the Stellar Dawn Mode, because they are not one and the same. It's not Stellar Dawn, it's RuneScape in a different loading base code. Java can do much more than RuneScape, believe me. We WILL have better graphics, better controls, better everything. Don't get discouraged because of an exploit in some broken, incomplete code.

Exactly. I, personally, wouldn't be surprised if JAGEx didn't know about SD Mode or whatever you want to call it.

1. Why would they announce anything about it?
2. Are you really assuming that they're so stupid they don't even know it's there? Even if they didn't originally know, they'd probably know now from however many topics on the internet have been made about this.

I think that this proves a mode you shouldn't even be playing in has bugs.

When i was mining a time ago, I had this also, and i wasn't using Stellar Dawn Mode.
A couple of months ago i was mining, then i thought "Let's see howmutch xp I still need to the next lvl...".
Some minutes later i checked again, and it was just the same.
I mined coal, and still it was the same.
Runescape still got a lot little bugs ;D

As stated many times, no xp. So we just have to guess and wait
You can discuss this here. It's probably just the fact that your playing SD more on a differenet game or something along these lines...

Yep thats pretty much it. Don't worry, we aren't the only people that don't really get it!
Heres a link about it all..
If you're gunna fuck with the code, of course you're gunna have problems.
This basically shows how reusable the code is for RuneScape and MechScape. It also reinforces that the relationships between RuneScape and MechScape are unmistakeably close. I personally don't think it is a good idea but it is pretty interesting imo.
