There are fights at my school. None of them last more than like 10 secs.
I saw a fight at my towns fair 2 years ago. It was HUGE. These two guys were arguing then one punched another, and all their friends were waiting in the woods. When the first punched was thrown about 20 people ran out of the woods and joined in the fight. I left when the cops came.

Eh, I would give an average of at least 1 fight a week at my school, much more or much less.
What I hate, however, is when underclassmen get into fights, the principal blames and takes it out on my class, the Seniors, and will punish and takes away a number of our privileges and events.
Fights last for at least 3 minutes or more at my place, as all the students crowd around the fight to watch and makes it hard for the Security Guards and Deans to break up the fights. But once they reach the kids, it still lasts for about another 10 seconds, as the time it takes for the Security to tackle and take down the fighters.
Last year, we had an entire hallway crowded trying to watch a cat fight between two girls, which took quite awhile to break up, since there was absolutely no room to walk through in the narrow hallway. I was crushed by larger students, and had to slowly slide my way back to my class before something retarded was to happen.
In the school I am in now there aren't that many fights. I think I have only seen about 3 for a whole year.
Where I used to go in middle school there was fights all the time. Once a guy got stab in the eye with a pencil, and people set on fire a locker and a trashcan in the bathroom. My last High school there weren't that many fights either. But there was this one time where there was a fist fight between some cops and students, that was interesting.
To be honest, I've never seen an "actual" fight at my school. The only fights we get are "play fights" (none ever in the school). If we get caught watching anyone fight we're suspended for "encouraging them."
Yeah, my school is like the safest in the city. No one get initiated. No fights. No nothing really.

I've been in a couple of fights at school and actually haven't gotten suspended amazingly. One was with a drunken senior at a Football game when I was a Sophmore. Being the hot tempered kid I was at the time, I got in a scuffle over all of us sophmores being in the 'senior' section of the bleachers. Realistically there is no senior section in the bleachers and two seniors started pushing me. I pushed one down and the other one swung at me, hit in the chin, rocked me, but I got on top of him after a take down (I do MMA, well used to), hit him in the face with an elbow, got him groggy and adults came in and separated us. That's only one, don't get me started on the other ones.

No fights ever at my school, they all stopped after 6th year, it's not a popular idea to fight really.
From what I know in most canadian schools you'll get kicked right out of the district with the stuff I'm seeing in this topic.

Are there any fights at your school?
I go to a university, and we have a zero tolerance policy like most schools. I do not agree with zero tolerance policies because it's not right for to punish the victims and their families for defending themselves against the attacker.
The family is punished because when their kid gets kicked out of school for self defense, they are forced into taking them to and from school every day. The school buses won't provide transportation to and from schools that kids aren't zoned to go to.
I've been in a huge amount of fights during my years in school, and quite a few of the other kids had it coming. It's how I dealt with bullies at the time. I'll list them off for you:
1. I don't remember what grade I was in when this happened, but it was probably kindergarten or grade 1. I wanted to hear the sound people make when they get punched in the stomach (uggh!) so I decided to do it and then I ran away.
2. In grade 2 my class made little gangs and each gang would harass each other during recess. One game was particularly violent and wouldn't allow anyone to cross the sidewalk without getting beat up. I would repeatedly cross the sidewalk anyway because I didn't feel it was right for them to not let anyone do so and I guess I also did it partly out of boredom. It finally ended when a big piece of dead wood fell out of a tree and this guy threw it at me and then I threw it back at him. He got into a lot of trouble and I didn't even get called to the principal's office or anything.
3. This is another one that I don't remember when it happened. I was on the bus with the other students getting a ride to our after school program. As I was walking down the isle deciding where to sit, this guy didn't want me to sit next to him so he used his fingernail to cut the space in between two of my fingers long ways. We both got lucky because I hit him back after we got off the bus. It didn't happen at school and it didn't happen at the after school program so neither place could punish us.
4. At the same after school program, two guys thought it'd be a good idea to start throwing water on me when we went to wash our hands for snack every day. After I while of no one doing anything about it, I decided to take it into my own hands, and punched one of them.
5. I made friends with a mentally challenged guy one time and encouraged him to annoy another guy in the after school program. I don't remember what I had against him, but none of us got into trouble. His answer was, "She told me to" and since I didn't do it I did not get in trouble either.
6. Another time, I got into a situation with someone with severe anger problems. He had to go to a special class, I think, once a week to learn how to control his anger, but he started doing stuff to me, and I dug my fingernails into his face.
7. Lastly, I've had two experiences with electrocuting people. One time my Dad was doing a thing for cub scouts at our house to help them get a badge, and it had to do with learning about electricity. My Dad got down his hand held crank generator and I got the job of slowly turning the handle while the other kids felt the current by touching the wires. When it was the kid's turn from story number 2, the current didn't bother him like the other kids, so out of jealously and out of anger from what happened earlier, I cranked the handle as fast and as hard as I could.
Then the second time, was happened in a Las Vegas hotel room. My brother and I had 2 way radios and we could hear the security team saying stuff like "Table 2 is on the green" whatever the heck that meant as well as a maintenance crew working on the dryers. We both started saying stuff to mess with them, and I thought I'd be a good idea to say, "Dryer 2: power off" right after the maintenance guy said, "Dryer 2: power on". I remember seeing an ambulance come and wondering if it was because of me.
There's a story 8 and 9, but I don't want to make myself sound like even more of a horrible person so I will refrain from telling you about them.

I am, but at the same time, I'm not. I consider myself nice, helpful, pleasant to be around, and so on, but during my school years, I let my temper gets the best of me, and I also had some issues with not knowing how to handle situations correctly.
I'm still not sure how I should have handled some of the encounters with bullies I had correctly. What is a person supposed to do when the teacher is ignoring the problem, my parent's phone calls to the school aren't helping, and I'm not much of a social butterfly so there were no friends available to help me peer pressure the bully into leave me alone?

Hmm kinda think about it... I've always been bullied every year of my entire life, yet I have done nothing to it... I suppose I am just too used to it now. However, I am enfeebled, so I am really pathetic.
My entire Elementary School experience was revolved around me not believing in "God", and being Buddhist, as well as being highly timid. I remember kids framing me for things I wasn't responsible for... one time I was lifted up and thrown down, and I chased the kid... after the kid tripped and fell and bruised himself, the teacher blamed me for the incident and I got in trouble.
Middle school... some fourth grader thought it would be funny to contineously spit water at me at a party. I kicked the bottle of water out of his hand, and he repeatitly punched me, so I punched and kicked back... unfortunately I am enfeebled from here and now, so I pretty much lost.
Two years ago, a random person runs up to me, punches me hard in the face and runs off. While some ugly ass two times my size with broken teeth and bad breath comes and taunts me in the face. I held in my anger and walked on off...
A year ago, an ass pulled me out of my seat in the cafeteria and ripped up my favorite jacket I have had for quite awhile. I held in my hatred and anger that day, and forced myself to prevent any counter action. Yet, I still wish to assert my revenge.
I am really pathetic... I need to start body building.

I get bullied quite a bit. I'm pretty asocial and critical of nearly everyone around me, which doesn't help me at all. The main thing I get bullied for is my weight and then my faith then my... geekiness (for lack of better term). I dislike intolerant people, quite a bit.
I usually just ignore them, and after a while, it usually works. But sometimes, it only encourages others. I've stroke back a few times, and that really never helps, because I seem to always get in trouble instead of the jackass I'm defending myself against. I'm really always stuck between a rock and a hard place.

When he's not look just pull out some Crisco soaked in water and pour it into his bookbag. It's vile stuff. Or if they're athletes you can mix it up in their uniforms. Just make sure they don't catch you.
We have a few fights...
Suddenly you'll get all 1400 students just running to the field from the quad as they hear there is a fight

We've got some of the people that seem to set it all off in our class.
One girl will throw dictionaries, chairs and objects at people in class. One time she pushed a cabinet over a broke the class door XD

The fights at my school are only Dolls fighting eachother.
every month, these guys put 2 dolls in the ground and start shouting 'FIGHT'!!! 'FIGHT'!!! 'FIGHT'!! and a big crowd comes shouting too then the teachers come in and get fooled hard....
And other fights are sometimes acts for attention when 2 friends shout at eachother swearing really loud just for attention.
Thats the school i go in... were fights are just silly jokes.

I'm not bullied or anything, but I am pretty weak. I don't know, I'm getting stronger than I used to be anyway. If you are involved in a fight at my school, you get suspended. And they happen all the time. Lately, this guy who is uh... weird attacked this cool guy for a reason I'm not sure of, and the class joker (there are a few

) recorded it on his phone. So then this guy who's really big on black rights and uses 4chan but not in the kind of looking at pr0nz way and knows every internet meme out there takes the joker's phone and brings it to the head of year. So the cool guy gets nothing because he didn't retaliate, the weird guy got a Saturday detention, the joker got a Saturday detention for recording it, even though he didn't even catch any of it, and the 4channer kind of got praised by teachers but we don't go 'oh you snitch' because he's awesome.
So yeh.

My school always has huge fights. Today during lunch period, a giant fight erupted, and I got involved. I strapped on my moon boot cleets and walked over peoples faces. Then Starbucks came and gave us all coffee, which we threw at eachother. In total, 5 people died of 3rd degree burns, and 1 from my cleets.

I brought an M-4 Carbine to school and blew away half of the baseball team. The band nerds pinned me down with suppressive fire with several silenced MP5's, but I called in an airstrike, and the kids in Aerospace Engineering class dropped several Hellfire missiles down on the band. Overall, my friends and I had a 12-3 kill/death ratio. My friend Jose lost his legs, and I had to drag him across the hall under heavy fire as he shoot blindly into the air with his Magnum screaming "I can't feel my legs! I can't feel my legs!". He died of blood lose shortly after. My friends Cameron and Josh were both sniped from long range by this fag with an M21, but I took care of him with a few gernades and some random shooting. My school is very violent, as you guys can tell, you never know when it's your turn to go. As you guys also know, everyone in Texas has lots of guns, and we take them to school, so that explains why we are so heavily armed.

Well one time this total asshole, who was kinda known as the toughest kid in school, kept insulting me for no reason. I just ignored him, which made him angry and he punched me right in the face. You know what I did? I just laughed. It seemed like he punched me as hard as he could, yet it didn't hurt me at all. He always acted so tough and talked shit about everyone, yet he was a total weakling.
A good deal of people were watching at the time (although no teachers) and I wonder what they were thinking while I was laughing hysterically after getting punched in the face.
Needless to say, the guy never bothered me again.
Also, there's this new rule here, where anyone caught smoking, which is a huge problem at my school, gets fined $50. A guy was pretty angry about this and started yelling at and shoving the security guard. The guard kept warning him, but the kid wouldn't listen, so he got tazered. It was kinda awesome.
Fighting isn't a major problem here, but it happens every once in awhile.

ROFL! If you think that's violent you don't have a very vivid imagination. 13 year old kids in Mexico are already gangbanging with AK-47's hand grenades, trained like the US soldiers for combat in special camps, know how to drugrun, etc.
I haven't really been in a fight my last one was 2 years ago but it wasn't a real fight b/c the kid cheapshotted me in the chin and then coach came and be both go suspended even though I didn't do anything.

Wow, fighting at everyone else's school is much less brutal. Ya'll don't even use guns, or airstrikes or artillery. What kind of barbarians are ya'll? At my school, we fight like civilized people, with heavy machine guns, concrete bunkers, and laser guided missles. Actually using your body as a weapon is only a last resort, and is widely looked down upon. Of course, our education here in Texas is strictly to be able to fight the war against the Yankees when Texas secedes from the Union, so I guess when your actually trying to learn something like math, you don't need guns.

Why do you hate your school?

Oct 2 2009, 11:57 PM
I've been in one "fight". It started out on the (American) football field. I was in 7th grade at the time, and there was an 8th grader on the other team whom I absolutely hated. It started out as a very violent game two touch of football, then we started elbowing, shoving, and kicking. He finally managed to get me with my head between his arm and his chest, and I just grabbed his shoulders and twisted him over, putting him on the ground. After that, we just continued the game. I was very surprised I was able to do that (he was a very large kid, weighing a lot). My friend was inside at the time, and I wanted to tell him. So when I got the chance to tell him (a period later), my opponent's friend(whom I also hate) heard me telling my friend about it, told my opponent, and he found me before class started in my next class and resumed the fight there. I can't remember much of that, I'm not sure if it was actually considered a fight, because we didn't actually throw any punches. In my opinion, I lost, but I really wasn't hurt. A sophomore (we have a small school, with every grade on the same campus) came and broke us up. Later, we both were sent to the assistant principal's office, but neither of us got in trouble. We were both normally very peaceful kids and had never gotten in trouble before. (It also might have had something to do with the fact that we were both on the football team (small school = anyone who wants to can play) and the coach was the assistant principal.)
That's the only fight I've been in. There are actually a fair amount of fights at my school. They usually aren't during school hours, or even at school, but they carry over into school. For example, fights over the weekend may carry over into school, or the time my best friend was almost given a swirliee at the homecoming dance carried over and was talked about for a while. So, if you consider those fights, they happen every now and then. It's mostly just classmates antagonizing each other, sometimes going a bit far.

I used to be bullied in middle school, but I stopped being a prick to people, I worked out alot, and I grew some balls, and shit stopped. My advice to any middle schoolers or younger high schoolers is to just be yourself, people will accept you for who you are eventually and leave you alone. I've never been in a real fight, but I have given a kid a concussion by pushing him over a bench because he pushed me.
