Lol, I got like..20 Achievments from playing it the first time. FireFight is by far my favorite option on the game, but the campain fails. Vidmasters are like...Easy this time, for me, for some reason. :[]

I have the game. It is fun. Fire fight is not as fun as I heard. Once you play nazi zombies, nothing can beat that.

Darth, nazi zombies was fun, but it got old after so long, it's nice to have a new game to play, it's like Gears of Wars' Hoard mode, for Halo! :D

I love firefight, I would probably have not gotten the game if it didn't come with the map pack though (I don't have xblive)

on sunday i bought an xbox 360 and this was one of the games i chose, looks fun until it broke my tv hahaha (was using a really old tv until christmas when we buy one for the bedroom).
i got shot once on campaign and the tv went mad, colours started changing, camera moving everywhere, i though it might have been some clip coming up next but then the tv just stopped and now when i put it on, you hear clicking noices and stuff, i can change programs but no picture ever comes up.
i guess it has something to do that halo 3 odst requires pal 60 and the tv is pal 50 so more voltage went through? and the tv couldn't cope?

I'm a little disappointed that the Helljumpers aren't just confined to the books, anymore. It was nice to know that someone has read the books simply by bringing up the jumpers. Now everyone is privy!
I'm not sure about purchasing the game though. The campaign looks mildly interesting. Its brevity isn't that much of a turn off. Look at Portal.

It was alright.
It didn't feel like they marketed it to feel. The gameplay was the same as Halo 3, however felt a little like halo 1. There was no sneaking around, like you would think you could; as soon as you make one step everyone sees you. If you wanted to, you could easily run straight in to battle and rape everyone without even thinking about strategy, just like masterchief, which is unreasonable because you are not masterchief.
Firefight is alright. It is only a blast if you have someone to play it with, however if you don't you will find yourself hiding in the spawn point rather than going out to fight. As soon as the grenade skull turns on you might as well hide because there are way too many grunts with grenades.
When you get in to firefight there are way too many enemies at once. It should have been a gradual increase, not spring 10 brutes on you for the lols. Also the jackel snipers are really annoying. If you aren't lucky enough to find a sniper it will take you a whole clip of carbine, with it's crappy shot spread, to take one down. In which, you will find yourself hugging the pistol and SMG because there are not enough Carbines and absolutely no BR's to keep you on your toes.
However that was my single player experience in firefight, and I only played one game. The game lasted an hour, and I certainly did not want to waste anymore time if I didn't have a friend helping me out. Which could have been diverted if there was a matchmaking option for firefight.
All in all, TLDR, I complain a lot about the small things because ODST could have been much better if there was enough time put in to it. It was a small release, however a giant stand-alone game, that had no where near enough time to be put together. However, I did love it, and perhaps will play some more firefight if I my friends decided to get on.

Firefight is good fun with my friends, as although we aren't great we play on Heroic and we're close to the wire a lot of the time which makes it exciting. Unfortunately, I have to play with my brother's friends a lot, who are too scared to play on anything above easy - "Hurr hurr hurr it's too hard its more fun to just mow down loads of enemies." It's not that they suck, it's just that they have a combined IQ of -1.
To me it seems that you're paying $60 for Nazi zombies in space, and to hear "THIS R NU MOM-BASS-UH LOL FTW" a million times. I thought this was what DLC was for.

It's a fun game, I've gotten the chance to play it yesterday, however it just seems too repetitive for me. Although I must say that they did a good job trying to make the game different and fun.

well all people in my school that i know to have xbox 360 got this game as soon as possible and i must admit firefight is good fun but when your friends decide to be stupid and drive over you and lose lifes, it kinda makes you pissed off that you can't do firefight in matchmaking :/
i guess the full price comes because you get all halo 3 maps and halo 3 multiplayer which people who already had them would'nt need but since i didn't have halo 3 it was good to have all maps :)
and you get beta access to halo reach will be cool as well.

FireFight is more certainly the highlight of H3:ODST. The campaign though, was not up to par with the other halo's. Yes, it was a different perspective of the Halo story line, but it did not keep my attention. I completed a couple of level's and became bored.
Overall Personal Rating: 7/10.

I don't think the game was as hard as it should have been, I completed the campaign on legendary with my friend (he has the game, but completely sucks, I carried him since I'm a beast at all FPS's) in little over 2 hours. We didn't get to try firefight because they didn't include a matchmaking option, and nobody was on at 2 in the morning, so I didn't get to play it, but it sounds a lot like Horde from Gears of War, which is fairly cool. From what my friend told me, there isn't even matchmaking for like slayer? That sucks. Multiplayer is what makes the Halo series great, and they didn't include it. From my experience, I give it a 6/10.

I'm sorry but I do believe it's impossible to complete Halo 3: ODST on legendary, or any difficulty for that matter, in 2 hours. Perhaps I misread something

Edit: Forgot to put "in 2 hours".

After playing firefight about 6 times and getting to round 4 every time (or whatever the 4th huge segment is called) I decided that whatever they had said about the game being random or different every time was a bunch of crap. Every game they send the same types of waves (maybe not the same every time but it feel exactly the same). And the worst part is that the skulls come on in the same order every single round and every single game (waves). It makes it so systematized it gets old really fast.
But it is still fun to kill millions of covenant (even on heroic it seems extremely stupid that 1 or 2 ODSTs can pwn about 5 thousand covenant while only dieing like 6 times... they are NOT chief, and chief couldn't even do that).

I rented it. The campaign was pretty cool, but short, and I loved that you get to play as different ODST's and explore the story. FireFight is cool but only if you're playing with another friend. As for the multiplayer part it was cool because it came with all the H3 maps.
I'd rate it 8/10

You get 2 cds when you buy odst. First one is ODST, second is Halo 3. Just with no campaign, so you use the second disk for the multiplayer. (has all the maps)
