I was told that there was a Jagex Tweet, now deleted, that said this:

"A cold, steel horizon opens appears under the stars. Are you up for this new challenge? -Ajd"

Can someone confirm this was a real tweet, not something made up?

I didn't see it, but I've been away from a computer for the past 4 hours or so. If it happened between 9 and 10 (my time), I would have seen it, that is, if it wasn't deleted a minute after it posts. My Twitter program (TwitterFox, an awesome Twitter add on for FF) checks for updates every 3 minutes, so there is a possibility that I would have missed it.

I just checked if the Jagex twitter had any recently deleted tweets (on tweleted.com), and there's no sign of a mechscape tweet.
Guess it must be a hoax.

Unless it was up for less than a few minutes, as it does not appear in my feed cache.

I would believe it's made up because "opens appears" does not make sense... don't think they'd make a mistake like that. but then again, if they did that'd be a good reason for deleting it.

A lot of twitter programs save them even if they delete them. Hopefully someone's does this.
