Hey,

Recently was the big news that MechScape changed to StellarDawn in the RuneScape Game Code when you changed game0 to game1 and shortly after some clever person (Xharok) got it working so we could log onto it! =]

This is all really interesting and now everything points to StellarDawn being the new name however clever old WCD Velocity (Isn't he the best lol) spotted this: RuneScape German still says MechScape!

Now i would ask Xharok for help and i have done only he hasn't logged in recently (oooh =[ ) so i was wondering could anyone help us make this german MechScape playable and possibly downloadable?

With that downloadable me and the helpfull jagex wiki team (which are all taking a little break due to the start of the school team so they'll have a bit of time for this i bet) could list all details like we did with the RuneScape/StellarDawn Hybrid thingy and RuneScape/MechScape hybrid (only recently did that one haven't uploaded it yet but all it would say is that the mechscape/RuneScape hybrid only had one difference - the word above the loading bar)!

Please leave any comments on this thread and if you have any knowledge at doing this (I don't) please let me know and me, Rick Astely (sorry if thats not spelled right rhhh4 is easier lol) , WCD, King Vivil and our other user who doesn't have a msworld account but on the wiki goes by the name Goodison Goomba will take a look (If they're up to it)!

Also we need to check other languages so if anyone could give a hand there we would be very greatfull!

Thanks!

the reason for this is probably smiple according to my thinking..

They were merely working on the English version of Mechscape/Stellar Dawn, each language version of the game has its own server which has its own coding.

As such, the English servers (USA, UK, Canada, etc) are being worked on for the game. They probably are not ready to work on the non-english servers right now
Dirk
Maybe there's not a fluid translation from English to German for "Stellar Dawn", and they have to come up with a different name for the German version.
whovian39
Maybe but i think it's worth checking don't you? Also this is a good chance to check for any crucial differences we missed when the english mechscape hybrid was online (providing this is the same which it might not be which would be even more interesting!)

Probably wouldn't hurt to try it out.

I don't really understand the question of the thread, but maybe the german MechScape team hasn't translated the whole game yet (If they even are translating it)
Lord John
I think they'll release the English before anything else. They take it one step at a time.
Flatypus
Exactly. Maybe they just haven't got around to it yet. They are still polishing things up, remember?
Oh yeh. nuke.gif

Maybe but in that case why is it included in the german game code at all? nuke.gif

I'm thinking that Jagex is still deciding if they want the name to be the same when the port it to other languages. What would be similar to Stellar Dawn in German?

Edit: Although that might not be something that would change the website domain. Hm...

StellarDawn is not even ready so why would they start making it for other laguages before it's even done?

Good point - so why would they include the MechScape in the German model of the game?

To test whether the multi-language system worked?

They already know it works though - don't they?
