Well its possible they do this just to pay homage to the older movie. And with dancing, certain dances follow an exact sequence which would explain the similarities.

It's really only noticeable side by side, so I doubt it's supposed to be obvious.

That's the idea most of the time. Only the animators or someone who has obsessively seen the movie over and over would even notice. It isn't supposed to be outright obvious to the viewer.

Exactly, they know that these routines pleased (is that the right word?) the audience, so they simply use pieces of them again.

Unless I see some non-music scenes copied, I will not be convinced that they would simply trace out a whole new movie. (which would never happen anyways.)

Oh, I notice this all the time. I have to sit and watch Disney films with little people sometimes tongue.gif
