A mysterious picture in the knowledge base on RuneScape has gone unnoticed for a very long time, until now.

Check out this picture, at the bottom of the page, it seems to be a cape with purple trim, but the cape is WHITE! There is currently no other skill-cape that it could possibly be, so what is it?

Hmm thats really interesting it possibly could be a new skill.. but, ehh I mean its just a really weird position I can't honestly say if I think it is or not..

This is nothing special for the simple reason that the trim doesn't match the shoulders or the cape, it's a Moderator item and nothing more.

A moderator item? Is there such a thing?

Mod Dave has a pink Dragon Axe.

We've already figured it out to be the Music Cape on TIF.

¬_¬ Unfortunately I don't. When the RuneScape's homepage design was changed (the design before the current) a series of new screenshots were uploaded. Among these screenshots was one of two players at the Dagannoth Kings, in the inventory of one of the players was an indiscernible pinkish item (the screenshots were compressed jpegs). Later a Jagex moderator replied to a player regarding the mysterious item and said that it was a pink Dragon axe belonging to Mod Dave. Obviously it may not have been pink in the world view model, but given that changing the colour is a not a huge feat it's quite likely.

And didn't the untrimmed one have black instead of pink/purple? I think I've got that program somewhere...gonna look for it and go through a few files.

That is pretty cool, and my new skiller doesn't have any 99 skills, so I can get 99 in this new skill when it comes out IF mechscape doesn't come out yet.

The Quest Cape would obviously come with the music cape because to recieve all the songs you have to complete every quest...

Unless it's a music skill...

Someone who has completed every Quest would not necessarily have every song.

It`s most likeley something to do with unlocking all the songs.

lol music cape is a bit fail in my opinion :P

Jagex confirmed a few months ago that they were going to add a cape of accomplishment for unlocking every music track in the game. I believe they said this when they said that there wouldn't be a cape of accomplishment for achievement diaries since one of the diary's rewards would be a cape.


Untrimmed? What could possible cause the cape to become trimmed? The only thing I can think of would be completing every quest, but, as someone else already said, you need to complete every quest to get the music cape in the first place.

If there was an untrimmed version, it would be all white, just like the quest point cape.

If there is a music cape, that would be awesome. The only hard part in getting all the music (which is, I assume, how you get the cape) is getting a challenge scroll. I've known people who have camped goblins for hours trying to get one to no avail.

You mean clue scrolls? I get one once a week, (level 1-2) without intense training. Just go kill minotaurs/flesh crawlers in the securitry dungeon.

I think a music cape would be really stupid, but it would definitely fit in. =/

He clearly said champions scrolls. you know, those scrolls you get when you kill like lots of monsters to fight in the champions guild with a champion of that monster(Zombie/jogre/demon etc)

I think the cape was scrapped. I don't see any use of it, unless they create it when they reach 700 songs or so.

I saw this, Dragon Plate Body, and the Dragon Pickaxe a while back.
