I tried researching this topic but somthing about a flood wouldn't let me...so here it goes and i am sorry if there already is a thread/pole.
Clans are a very important part of runescape. And possibly mechscape(stellar dawn) too. Since this game is more team orriented than runescape i am almost possitive that there will be clans in mechscape. (probably called somthing else though) Well i am wondering how these clans will work. Will there actualy be clan bases you can go to? Will lootshare be different? Will there be in game logos you can put in from paint? Being a runescape clan leader i wonder what they will be like. Be free to post any ideas you have and please vote at the above poll. Thanks.

We don't know how it will work, but I'm sure there will be clans. Imagine you and a team of friends having wars against others in Space, or being pirates and hijacking and stealing from big vessels. It'd be awesome. We don't know anything about them yet, unfortunately.
Here is a
link to an MSP (Mechscape Post) about team play and solo aspects of Mechscape.

Im sure there will be a clan chat for clans just like in runescape. As for other new features... we will have to wait and see.

I would bet clans have a more official role in Mechscape than they do in Runescape. I think there will be extra features (not just clan chat) clans can use in-game that will greatly improve the awesomeness of being a part of a clan.

I dont do clans, but I bet there will be some joint clans, but I think mechscape will have some sort of official clan function.

The clan world of Mechscape will be separate to that of Runescape. I don't know why any clan leader would have members in both RS and MS because that's just like splitting your focus in half.
I do hope the game caters for clans and is far more team orientated.

I believe due to the current Pro-clan support climate of Jagex, there will be alot of pro-clan features in Mechscape (Now apparently Stellar Dawn).
But whats sad is, you all seem to think people NEED jagex's support for clans to exist in their upcoming game. Clan's are not created by the gaming company (usually and normally), they are established by individual privateers and associates for the benefit of other players.
Regardless if there is direct or indirect support or none at all, Where there is a will, there is a way, Clans will indeed sprout up in the game. Such as the 2 current primary real pregame clans, Terran Federation and Technicality.

I just thought about it... RS features, into MS?
AKA will it have like the same friend/ignore list system? :|
I would be ticked off, cause that feature in RS is way old as it is.
I hope MS is completely different, like nothing close to RS at ALL.

I am thinking they WILL have the same friend/ignore lists (thought I read that somewhere).
On topic: Clans are present in almost all types of mmos,
(lol Habbo (not that I ever played))
whether they are directly or indirectly supported by the game would just depend on HOW MANY there are. Whether they carry over or not would depend on the clan leaders, not Jagex themselves.

That makes sense.

We can't forget Ravendwel Shipping and Freight. We've already got service openings in SWTOR and MechScape. We basically give players a chance to earn a bit of cash, by shipping out bulks of materials, and allow the players to buy items in bulk with in-game money. We're not an RWT company, because we only trade with In-Game currency. We employ people as runners, to take packages and deliveries to other parts of the galaxy.
We are affiliated with the Black Card Company, one of the largest supply companies in World Of Warcraft.

space ships.
Imagine you've got a tarnsport at your base and you want to meet up with your clan and explore with them. Fly up far away from your base and then jump to lightspeed. you then arrive at your clan's space ship during a battle against another clan. Quickly get to a fighter in the hangars and fly out into battle, or man the AA turrets.

How can you have anti-air turrets in space?

Because Anti-Space/Star Ship guns are too long to say... So Commanders will simply say Anti-Ship and Anti-Air Guns. It is the idea that gets through.

Going to a Space Clan Battle!

When I say AA turrets I mean duel missile launchers that are loaded with rockets then lock on to an enemy ship. fire the rockets, bang, pieces of metal flying off into space.
