Welcome to say what, below are a few questions that will drive you pretty crazy...
Note: These are just mind-boggling little questions, they're not meant at all to be true. They're just what if's. I'm pretty sure they're not true at all.
#1. Do we all see the same colors, but refer to them differently? A baby is born, and he sees a bottle that is red to him as red is to us. Even though it's red, his mother refers to it as blue. Now the baby might know the color that we know as red, being blue to him. He might see red when others see blue, but he refers to it as blue. The only things that humans might see the same are black and white. Think... Is this possible in our world?
#2. If the poster below is stupid, and the poster above is cool. What would happen if we got 2 monitors, flipped one upside down, and kept one right up. What would the posters be?
#3. Let's say there was Person A and Person B. Person A says that whatever they say is true, and Person B says that whatever Person A says is false. Who's lying, or who's telling the truth?
#4. Let's count 10 10's and add +1 to them while we're counting. 11, 21, 31, 41, 51, 61, 71, 81, 91, 101. Now pay attention, why isn't 11 pronounced onety one?
#5. A boy asks his mom "Mom, can me and my friends go walk down the street to the liquor store on the corner?" the mom says ok. Later on the child, and some of his friends are dead. What is the problem with the question the boy asked his mother?
#6. Someone is in court for being accused of pushing someone who couldn't swim into the pull. The story goes as follows (or so they say):
I was walking around the pool. When I accidentally bumped into the man, I didn't know he couldn't swim. He fell into the pool, and I would've gotten into to save him. However I cannot swim either. I will never forget the sound of his last tears.
What was the problem with this story?
#7. When you think you might see words of your original language. If you were born in Mexico spoke spanish, and moved the United States where you learned fluent english you probably still see or think in spanish. However what about deaf mutes? Do they see sign language in there head? Or how do they think, what do they hear when they think?
#8. If children who are sometimes a bit slow are said to have "special needs" and the smarter sharper children are known to be gifted and are sometimes put into Gifted and Talented classes for they are to intellectually great to learn the average knowledge of children are there age. Do these Gifted and Talented children have "special needs" as well?
#9. A guide-dog is helping his or her master walk down the sidewalk (I better not say street hehehe). The dog pays attention to the traffic lights to see when they're green, red, or yellow. The light turns red and the dog walks. What is wrong with the statement? What is wrong with the assumed awnser of the previous question?
If you have any more mind boggling questions, post them here.
