I am not sure if the crowns have already been created for moderators or whatever has been done. But I think it should be a silver star. Jagex Mods - Administrators should get gold stars.
Thankyou!

What? Mechscape hasn't come out yet. There are no moderators, although they've probable been selected already.

If you mean for MSW, these moderators aren't moderators for Jagex.
If you mean for Mechscape, I think it'll still be a crown, that's how it has worked on Funorb.

Since Jagex is constantly telling people that all Jagex moderators have a gold crown before their name and all player moderators have a silver crown, I doubt they'll be changed.

though it is possible for them to change it to a sci-fi equivelant of the fantasy crown. If they used crowns it could make it feel like runescape in space, whereas funorb doesn't matter

Yes, that's true, however Jagex has said that we will be able to PM our friends in other games, it would be a bit odd for the MechScape chat to be different, especially since Jagex chose to continue using RuneScape-esque crowns in FunOrb.

Not changing it is completely less confusing to players. A star would infer a RuneScape clan rank anyway.

Ya, the crowns should be a global symbol across all Jagex products. That way it's alot less confusion and people reconize it easier.

A LITTLE SPACE PIE FOR SURE.

Well if you think about it, the crown is probably used because Runescape is a Medieval game, hence the Crown. Perhaps Mechscape will change it to a Medal or some other symbol which could be related to the type of game Mechscape is.

Jagex might change it but changing it would be a lot of work and explaining. Maybe the crown will appear if you are on RuneScape (regardless talking to a pmod/jmod from MechScape) and the same for MechScape. Although, I am still with not changing it unless Jagex is really to explain it to everyone repetitively.

Changing it wouldn't be wise. As we've seen, the RS community is about as intelligant as a pile of wood. They would likely be easily confused if Jagex changed the Mod symbols.
I also doubt they've chosen moderators already...

They most probably wouldn't changing, as it would involve a lot of explaining, and it would confuse Mechscape players, even if it were just for Mechscape only.

I don't see the point in changing it, and it would confuse people.
They didn't do it for funorb and I don't think they will now.

I dont want to fall out or anything. If they did change the moderator icons then if there are players from Runescape or FunOrb then they know that an icon next to your name is a moderator.
Also if the icon had an 'M' in it then no one would be mistaken or confused.
Thankyou.

I doubt it would change much if at all. It might look a little robotish...Maybe a silver robot head for pmods and gold one for jmods! or it might be different for each race. Hey. Anything is possible. They didn't do it for funorb because that is a minigame site and has no main theme.

I think they should be the same but with a style adjusted to the game.
