Is Mechscape this "bit of suprise?" I sure hope not, though, since he said a few more months.

I doubt it. Those will both be very big updates, and there's no reason for Jagex to have them at the same time.

I think they already said they're going to have cheat worlds.

The way it's worded seems to suggest that it is built into RSC2 and not a feature that is going to be launched along side.

Perhaps a small piece of new content? Commentary mode? The not so secret console-enabled servers? FSM only knows :|

Exactly. Over analyzing is ok sometimes but the rest of the time it just turns stupid.

Cheats to runescape classic would be a way to combat private servers in my opinion and reduce their popularity, which is a smart move that doesnt involve shutting down legally proven unauthorized servers.

My guess is that mechscape will be a suprise because Jagex has said, "Well, MechScape isn't to be anything like RuneScape-" so, not much information about the game, and nothing like runescape, who knows what it will be like.

It's clearly referring to a suprise INSIDE Classic because they said they were going to add a twist. Not everything has to relate to Mechscape, particularly seeing as they are answering a RUNESCAPE Q&A.

Besides, it'd be foolish for a company to release two games at the same time because no one would play Classic and everyone would try out Mechscape. If they staggered the release then more people would play them.

My guess would be that they're releasing mechscape before classic, they're probably going to wait from 1 - 3 months after releasing mechscape, so everyone would have gotten used to mechscape, and then release runescape classic.

And even if they do release classic they probably will put a twist inside.

I say the surprise has something to do with RuneScape and more likely RuneScape Classic.
