As of now, we don't really know. Although, by the way jagex describes the game as a whole, I expect the game play to be imaginative, and unlike any other mmorpg.

well since noone knows what the game really is centered around I dont think we can really judge the gameplay in anyway due to the fact we still really dont know what the character models will be. If you are judging based on the time this has been worked on I would say the gameplay is wasd movement with mouse to interact with the interface/environment with a low/high def as like runescape, Mechscape is also supposed to have a good music/sound system and I think it will have smooth gameplay due to the ammount of time Jagex has been working on this. There will obviously be a few bugs which should be figured out and removed by the beta.

Strangle would be a good word to describe what I want to do to that post, and the person that said it first.

Well, my guess is that you will control one player and hopefuly the camera work will be simalar to runescapes. Probably, you can either click or use w, a, s, d to move. Hit the enter key to type, build your own buildings, make a life form of some sort, and much much more. You might be able to get mechs , or robots, to build your buildings to. Become allies with other species, like you could get in your ship, fly to a different planet, talk to the leader, trade goods, give them your military support and make a peace treaty between you and the species of which you want to allie with.
Hopefuly it will be great, everyone has there hopes up for this game, and they have been working on it for a long time, so if the gameplay isn't very good, everyone will go back to runescape instead of playing codename mechscape.

I think the gameplay is going to be awesome. A Jagex has said that they are working with 3d-particle and specular effects," and that the movement around the mechscape world would be the "best of both worlds," I suspect that we are in for a pretty neat graphical surprise when Mechscape is finally released. Lets hope that my graphics card is good enough to stand up for the challenge.

I think MechscapeScape will be a lot like the space stage of Spore.
No xp, exploration, discovery, new technologies...Sounds like a match.

If that's true and the graphics are that good. Then I'm in! Spore has really cool space graphics!! :)
