Well from what we know mechscape is centered around "4 opposed factions" and the story will be fully dynamic. But why are they apposed?

Could there have been a war between the races? This seems to be the most logical..

I think that there was some kind of war in which all the races took part in. I think there will be certain alliances and enemies depending on the race you are in because of that, and it will affect what you do in gameplay. People on the forum have talked about Earth being destroyed in the story, and I think this is probably right. For instance, if you are a Pliigi and go into Human territory, no NPC shopkeepers will trade with you unless you do a ceratin job for each of them. If you are a Human and enter the Pliigi planet's atmosphere, your ship will be destroyed.

I suppose, but I doubt there will be restricted lands in the game. I bet each faction has one main enemy and maybe an ally or a minor enemy, they can't all be going free for all

But nevertheless, each species may have a different effect on the other species. like if a human came to a pliigi-occupied planet he/she would be attacked by patrol ships. he/she would then have to fight off the ships, hide somewhere remote, then go into the cities undercover.

The way I put it was all in their own ideas and beliefs for their people and their views on the future of the universe.

MW Federation - MWF (Humans and all other races that live in or around the Milky Way)
They seek knowledge and expansion. Wanting to learn of everyone else' abilities and technologies, sometimes with diplomacy and most of the time by force. With the continuous expansion of their people, they are beginning to push into foreign territory, much to the annoyance of the other factions.

Pliigi Liberation Alliance - PLA
Their eldest of leaders still hold in a zealous view upon technology, and feel that all metallic-technology should be replaced by bio-technology.

Mortiga Spiritual Union - MSU
Beings of pure illogical psychokenetic energies, they are one with the natures. The ancient leaders find that nature should be repaired, and thus eliminate all technologies. Also, that all intelligent biological life should be converted into pure energy, like themselves.

Cybernetics
Their first leaders are composed of robots that have obtained feelings, but were completely abused by their ancient creators, and thus they became enraged, moved to a separate galaxy after war fare and created their own faction. They want to expand their complex technologies all around the universe, erase all illogical things like Magics and Psychokenetics, and replace all biological life with technology. They also have a larger hate for the MWF's own Robots and Androids, for being part biological, or having love to biological creatures, while androids are completely hated, due to their closer relationship with Humans and Human-Like lifeforms.

Woah very creative, I like the Cybernetics. because that is the opposing faction in my short story (if I am to write anymore chapters to get into the storyline)

I also feel that it won't be race against race but more like ideals against ideals, even in-amongst the different races.

I loved your theories elite. Anyways I think that the humans are refugees but I doubt their will accually be planet earth and the Milky way. Im guessing this will be an entire different universe

From what I got out of it, the "factions" are opposed, not necessarily ourselves as characters.

Our role in the game could possibly see ourselves as mediators between these factions -> more than likely because of war.
