I've seen IRC chat rooms before and I'm just thinking it might give us a way of easier chat and get to know eachother and talk about stuff easier. I like chatrooms a lot more than forums (obviously they both a very important for different reasons) but I think an IRC would be great for this site/forum. I'm not too sure how easy/hard IRCs are to get.

I think we might used to have one, but got rid of it because no one used it. We do have a chat thread though.

And in the future, site suggestions should go in Community Affairs.

There is the same instance of a problem with all 'Live Chats' in which is caused by a lack of active users on the chat. The amount of active members just now wouldn't justify a reason for us to have an IRC Chat just now. An IRC Chat seems more logical to establish once MechScape has been officially released. There will be a huge surplus of new members and just generally other people from the MechScape Userbase that will be active on the chat as there will be lots of stuff to talk about, e.g. In-Game Topics.

Ahhh, totally right, I just thought it would be a good thing to have while we wait cuz its kinda boring waiting. I already wrote a story. You guys can check it out :P but that's about all there was to do lol. Just wanted to get to know some ppl so that when mechscape comes out I could play with some of my friends on here. Kinda hard to do with a forum

Well, IRC is pretty outdated. I know that most of us will be playing MechScape in fullscreen, so we should probably use a Steam Community chat room or something, so people can use voice.

Alot of members have msn where you can talk to them live. Check out the Official member contact list.

And we used to have one I think, don't know what happened to it.
