Sorry, I don't read books and barely ever write stories. This is my first story that I did other than for school. Please enjoy, I enjoyed writing it. I'm not even sure if this counts towards being related. Please leave feedback, even bad feedback because I never write anything, especially in 3rd person. BTW I was too lazy to read it over again and revise everything, so I haven't even read the full thing over yet, have fun.
DISCLAIMER: Reader's discretion is is advised.

EDIT: OMFG haha I just noticed that the main guy's name is Ren, I didn't mean to take that name from Ren of MechScapeWorld I took it from a Japanese bassist lol (I was even gonna say before that any name similarity is pure coincidence, and I just realized it now)

“First aid won’t do any good if you f***ing die on me!”

“I… I had to.”

“You didn’t! You had other choices!”

“Don’t worry about it. It gave me… purpose, more than I had… before I had you. This is the way it has to be… the way I wanted it to be.”

“What about what I want!”

“What you want can now… be had…” and with that, the body went cold, colder than those hands had ever touched, colder than the icy plains of Staktrin where they were told to carry out their mission. The limp body lay there in the arms of a person who hoped his love would revive it, with no effect. Tears flowed down the persons now enraged face.

That sense of destruction would have brought fear into any normal mecha, but that was no normal mecha. What stood there was known as Akuma , the most feared mecha of who’s pilot was unknown. Not only was the pilot unknown, but also stance on the issues at hand. He wasn’t the only one. Many were torn on the issue of robotic rights. Ever since the robots showed signs of self-thought, many groups and organizations took the role of making sure the mechanical beings were put to a stop and fully controlled. One of the organizations who kindled the thoughts of hate against robots was Alority. This company took the liberty of taking god’s role in controlling how the earth runs; brain-washing the children of all races to hate these advanced robots. Robots started to make and advance themselves to a point where Pliigi and other races had no control and resorted to destruction.

A few people of that generation were different, and were prepared to fight for their relationship with their robots. Since being abandoned teens they were surrounded by robots, robots whose purpose was non-existent at that time, useless robots. Of these people Ren and Liz formed the strongest bonds with their mecha. The same goes for the robots. After war started, very few robots trusted life forms, but Ren’s mecha, Ebony, and Liz’s, lotus stuck with their young experiences and memories of bonding. They all gave each other purpose
Ren and Liz could never find words to express their relationship. Being teenage friends, first lovers and gaining new experiences along-side each other, they felt powerful as a team. Almost never being separated, they shared an unbreakable bond which could never be broken. In a world of ever-changing technology they started their journey together with their best friends Ebony and Lotus, a journey to correct the world that has gone astray.
________________________________________________________________________________

There stood Lotus in a tough stance, the bright yellow illuminating the icy cave they now stand in, ready to fight. Ebony looked around studying the terrain, preparing for battle. In front stood Akuma. With glowing blue shoulders and an unbreakable particle core shield, the white mech took it’s battle stance. The legend of Akuma preceded the large, overwhelming figure that stood before them.

“ready?” sparked Liz over the intercom, breaking the long silence that longed to be broken.

“I haven’t been training 5 years for nothing,” Piped Ren “but, I mean, I still don’t think that plan 3 will work too well. If we really wanted to kill him why not go with strategy-”

“…That’s not our mission idiot, you always forget your mission don’t you? Step 1, survive. Step 2, study Akuma’s characteristics and defensive techniques. Step 3, Identify him.”

“Oh yeah, that…” replied Ren with bits of sarcasm, “sounds pretty easy.”

“He’s coming, be ready!”

Akuma jumped at lotus with unimaginable speed stabbing its long silvery wrist-blade inches away from Ebony’s arm almost slicing it in half. Ebony dodged the stab, countering with a swift kick from below. Akuma quickly grew a shield on his arm, blocking the kick effortlessly.
“Got him!” said Liz firing 3 guided missiles toward Akuma. Lotus and Akuma quickly pushed away. Akuma jumped at the wall of ice behind him, pushing off of it he flew past the missiles picking one up. Putting one foot on the ground he, twisted around he performed a quick spin launching the missile at the two others. During the time Lotus launched her loaded arm cannon with the time he bought by the missiles.

“Direct hit!” She screamed with pride.

“or maybe not,” He replied in awe, “it didn’t do anything…”

There stood Akuma unharmed, his armour glowing an interesting green. It faded. “did you see that? So, this is Akuma.” Mumbled Liz.

“Is that all you’ve got, my grandma’s tougher.” Boomed a deep voice from Akuma.

“That little bast**d.” said Ren.

“Calm down Ren we have to think this through.” It was too late, Ebony started rushing toward Akuma, blades drawn. The black blades matched Ebony’s plate armour. He used his right offensively and left defensively, taking Akuma into close combat. Akuma dodged with little effort. Lotus took the opportunity to strike. She jumped over top, getting into a position to surround him from behind. Before she could land Akuma large back opened revealing what seemed to be a grapple. It launched at high speed using what sounded like a hydraulic system, gripping lotus’ leg tightly crushing it to bits.

“LIZ!”

“I’m fine… Condition 4!”

Ren knew this condition all too well, but he never wanted tobe in that position. The one condition was that the other mech had to be out of commission. “Against a guy like this I won’t be enough.” He thought, jumping away from battle. “What if we use it?”

“Use wha-“she stopped in horror. “that’s too dangerous! We might die! Do I have to remind you? It’s never been tested by Herp yet.”

“Screw Herp, we either die right now, or take a chance in living at least one more day!” Silence came over the radio.

“Do it.”

Ebony jumped over to Lotus’ wounded body, quickly revealing both of their particle cores and slowly and carefully connected them. Sweat dripped off Ren’s face. Determined to make it work, he pressed the switch to his left. The flash of light momentarily blinded everyone. The normal coloured particle core turned orange electrocuting the ice around it, making it melt. The core sunk back into Ebony’s deep black chest. “I think it worked.” Ebony turned back toward Akuma who had been waiting to see what Ebony was capable of. Ebony lashed out with his sword, slicing down on a defensive Akuma. Akuma held its fortified arm out, struggling under the pressure. Ren stabbed his left sword into Akuma’s abdomen, weakening any defensive precaution that was put up. He then forced the sword through the shield sending sparks everywhere. The arm broke and let the sword break through to the cockpit.

“F**k yeah!” screamed Ren in victory.

“You idiot! Don’t mess him up too badly, we still have to identify him!” Scorned Liz.

“sh*t, well whatever let’s just see.” Said Ren casually, as he returned lotus’ particle core back to her.

Ren slowly removed the pilots mask. The pilot had long, wavy hair, similar to the male human fashion at the time. Liz was still getting out of her mech, looking at the damage caused. It didn’t take much time to realize at all that the pilot’s flowing hair was that of a girl. The severely bleeding lady looked up at Ren, smiled and said.

“It’s nice to see your face again.” Ren stood there in shock. Chills went down his back and his muscles became stiff. Dropping to his knees he choked.
