This is an extract from a book I'm writing (currently 110 pages long) and so if you like it, say so.
I stood in the red circle, I knew this much at least, and as I did, the gate behind me started to rise… I spun around as fast as I could and saw him, not from the stands, but close up, he was famous because he was a Beserker, always happy and jolly, until he went into The Arena. I could see every droplet of sweat on his forehead, every crease, he was more like an Elephant then a troll. His Muscles were huge, everywhere, his face was twisted like a savage, he was the colour of red, the colour of blood, all over. That was all I could take in, before he charged at me!
Quick as a flash, I jumped out of the way. I was lucky, one hit and I would be down, there would be no throwing in the towel now, just death.
I quickly looked inside myself, and saw I had enough power to do any spell I knew, a million times over. I drew out a brown light, and summoned a wall of earth from the ground - knowing enough, I moved out of the way of it. I’d guessed right, Uslit smashed it as easy as I could snap a twig… wait, no, as easy as I could, umm, err, walk? Yeah, as easy as I could walk! I drew out more magic, this time red. I burned all over, my god, the pain! I turned red, and out burst a single, huge flame, heading for Uslit. It bounced off him harmlessly, like a fly…I tried all but one of the spells I knew, and decided that I was done for…unless… I had learned the Black Hole spell from a book that had been outlawed centuries ago, but it was the only chance I had.
Time seemed to freeze, again, and slowly, I chanted, any mistake, and I would be sucked into The Void, where everything was nothing, and nothing; was everything:
“UNLAR USLOR ROSTHIT MALARTIK OOMCHAR LOYID USLIT BARKARENT BAKOON!”
My body turned black, not just normal black, or even pitch black. No, this was the blackness of death, and the void. My eyes glowed, I grew taller by many meters, out of my fingers sprouted black lines all wrapping their way towards Uslit, and for the first time, he looked scared…
