I wanted to try something not many people actually try to do. And in that is to create the inside view of a mech or aircraft. For now, I just made one for my Customized Karomaz Fighter, I made based off of Thomas Woode's bottom fighter here-
http://www.mechscapeworld.com/forums/index...=si&img=141My version-Third Image Down, Top Left and Bottom Right fightershttp://www.mechscapeworld.com/forums/index...?showtopic=7052This image is to be used with my False War MechScape Fan-Fiction stories.

A really tricky image, I made horrible mistakes, for the most part screwing up the left hand on the thruster lever. Currently painting the image right now, tell me what you all think.
Edit- Now on my Deviant Art-

Interesting, lol i wish i could draw like that. my only criticism is that i believe that your drawing a little too much detail. The arms, the hands and joy stick I feel would get in the way of gameplay. Other then that its a wonderful picture i cant wait to play mechscape.

Err... I wasn't trying to make a gameplay pic... More of a Fan Art based off of some concept art.
But thanks mate.

Oh I see well then I have no criticism. It's a great drawing well done.

hmmm I understand its just fan art, but even a first person view for mechscape would be pretty cool, minus the gameplay disadvantages of not going 3rd person
Anyway its really nice, dont know what your talking about with mistakes :P

Love the perspective! Hopefully we'll see something like this ingame!

Thanks mates.
Oh and after 11 hours of non-stop painting on GIMP, I have completed painting the image!

Was really tricky, couldn't get the colors I wanted, but this works.

If it remotely looks anything like that, I would be pleased. Very nice, I wouldn't mind pressing any of those buttons, and the targeting looks very cool :).

If the controlling the ship would be like that ingame, I could finally use my "Logitech Attack 3"!
By the way, awesome drawing!

Not sure what you think I did... Triforce? Not a big fan of Legend of Zelda.
Didn't mean to do that, if that is what you think.
The bright green triangle represent the pilot's craft, the darker green ones are all wingmen trailing behind. The blue triangles would be friendly crafts, in this case being the Swordfish Squadron. That white boxed target is the Government Transport captured by the "space pirates" which is the large ship seen to the right of the cockpit.
All in my False War story =P

Very good... something I wish I could do but it always ends up blocky and ugly.
Well done, nice work.

I
really like it, good job
I amazing. The only improvement I would do is change the colors of the pilot's sleeves. They match a little too much with the inside of the UFO (lols).

is this just from hobbie drawing ?

Yeah, I agree with my character's forearm computers matching the colors of the cockpit...
(should try to color this when I get the chance)
http://i198.photobucket.com/albums/aa4/Eli.../scan0005-2.jpgWhat I was actually hoping to aim for was a darker, generally black colored cockpit. But well, just didn't turn out as good as compared to the whiter cockpit. Maybe I could remake another cockpit and try to get the vision right next time.
And, yes, I made the cockpit from Hobby Drawing. I actually made it during school, when I finished with my classwork. I actually made another cockpit for the Karomaz fighter, but, I made an ultimate mistake in having two steering lever, which aren't used for fighters. So I flipped the paper and made the one you see here.
Just wish I could draw at home... my father doesn't know what a hobby is, and thinks that I am trying to become a starving artist in the future.

You do what most people wouldn't dare to try to do and have it turn out so nice. I love your concept art and hope you continue making more like always. Who knows a hobby could always turn into a full time job. Either way it fun and something you enjoy.
Still wish I can paint in GIMP or at least have the time and patience to actually do something worthy or posting.

This reminds me of the cockpit of an f-16 I flew a while back in fs.
Nice job

Very, very nice. It looks great when it's been scaled down, and when it's enlarged it seems a little less high quality, but still GREAT! The small version looks 100% awesome in my opinion, though. :) Nice job.

Looks good, but the the cockpit still looks kind of from the present time. You should spice up the design of the cockpit more to make it more Sci-Fi.
