What does everyone think about it ?
Seems a little silly to me, I kind of wish they'd have kept the original body of the PSP 3000 and just changed it around a little
i don't understand the point in the controls sliding down either

I think its super sexy, but maybe a bit to small

Heres the specs:
3.8-inch display (resolution is undisclosed)
43 percent lighter than the PSP-3000
16GB of Flash storage
Bluetooth built-in; supports handset tethering and BT headsets
No UMD drive
Memory Stick Micro slot
New Gran Turismo, Little Big Planet and new Metal Gear Solid (!) on the way
Full PlayStation Network support (movie and TV rentals / purchases)
Integration with PlayStation 3 (works the same as the PSP-3000 does)
Sony views each of its products as "10-year lifecycle products," so the PSP "needs to live on."

Ahem hem... But the Control Stick is in a very uncomfortable place...
One word: Hideous.
And looks quite uncomfortable.

I agree with Man. Sony really screwed up on this one. Like the PS2, the original is much better. I'm thinking about getting a PSP so I can play the new Monster Hunter games. (Big fan)

it looks like they got the design from the rumor cellphone.

Eh, I don't like it. It looks like they crammed the controls on the bottom. I guess it suits people who text uncontrollably, and are used to that, but I don't think I will be buying it.

While I don't usually enjoy posting on a thread and repeating what everyone else has said, it is indeed just too hideous to ignore.
I own the original PSP, and it is actually pretty good. Although I no longer use it, because there is a huge lack of games and movies, and they are very expensive. Also, there is very little room on the memory stick cards, so you can't rip your DVD's on them either.
I heard they wanted to build a PSP with a built-in hard drive, which is honestly what I've been hopping for. This only has a 16GB memory card, which is not enough. There is no way this will complete with IPod's and ITouch's.
Also, there is no way this could be used for gaming. I remember when I first got my PSP I played it for around nine hours until my hands hurt too much to keep playing. This product would probably only last two hours until your hands start hurting, at the most.

If it had a touchscreen it would be ftw.
OTher than that it looks like my hands would cramp up and die in about 10 minutes.

How can you say that?
Yes, I agree with everyone else, this PSP fails miserably. It looks good if you don't slide the controls down, once you do though it just ruins it. And like everyone else has mentioned, the controls are too close to each other and it will be very uncomfortable to hold it.
Sometimes I wonder if I could beat someone to death with my original PSP -- It's like a brick. This, however, is ugly, and does not look comfy. The PSP, for all it's pocket-unfriendliness, is very ergonomic. It's just a bit wide (But the big screen is nice.)

What I meant was that the original PS2 was great. Then Sony released the "new slim" version which, just like all new technology, was an epic fail once it was released. My friend owned a slim PS2 and it kept on over-heating very fast, until one day it just "blew up".
Hey Pipin, do you still want that PSP? *knudge*

Actually, I have been looking to sell it.
I never use it

I'd be willing to buy it, but it would have to be around my birthday when I actually have a larger amount of cash. Around what price are you looking to sell it for?
Actually, if you want to talk about it, talk to me on MSN or through PM.

I'm looking to buy a psp-slim for home brewed apps and games, like Chrono trigger and such.
But I think its hilarious, how Sony still isn't listening to people. I remember when they were redesigning the psp fat and everyone was hoping it would have 2 joysticks, but once again....fail
and now this one, still doesn't have one...whats worse is that the joy stick seems barely usable

They need an ergonomist, like my Dad, working for them. He's all about posture and comfort. He could come up with a good design for them. Anyway, that's a joystick, isn't it? I don't like the idea of trying to reach that one.

Yeah, not going to be getting this ever. I'm with anyone who says it's not ergonomic. This clearly is marketed toward people with those stupid full keyboard sliding phones.

I know what you meant, but I strongly disagree. My slim has never overheated even though used to spend a lot, I mean a lot of time on it. Yes it got hot, but it never actually switched off or broke. Also it had a built in ethernet cable slot, which was brilliant.
