Simple question...when was your first mistake, basically. When did you first get lured in by the sudden addiction of the wonderful content, community, and game we know and love as RuneScape?

For me, I joined early, so I've been around. Began F2P in 2001. Once had 3 Crackers, but, as with most, popped them and got two p-hats, the other one went to the user I used it on. Took the p-hats and headed to the General Store to make a 20gp profit. I've seen many famous players in my time including Zezima (I actually had a small convo with him while w/c, but meh...), Gertjaars, Andrew, and a large amount of others. Played F2P on multiple accounts til 2008 where I decided to become a member and created a new account, Larchelondon.

So? How long have you played? Any interesting stories you care to share.

2001 in december at a friends birthday party

I joined in July of 2006 (missed Fally massacre). RuneScape is a pretty addicting game, but I quit in January of this year.

For me July 4th 2006 I saw videos on youtube and quit this year january 20th I have come across Zezima, Tehnoobshow, Shysteph, and Mod mmg lol i did some hardcore runescaping.

No clue of exact date but in 2004.

I like I said joined July 2006 but it was late July like around the 26th. Then I quit early January this year.

Me too in 2004 i tihnk February.. I got scammed so many times i quit in 2006 due to a hacker then got it back this December

I've played since ~5 months since it started, I've quit like 6 times though.

And now your fuel is glitching instead of playing or is that just a side thing you do with envy and the other guys?

Anywho I started in late 2005.

Rs gets boring when it takes weeks to get a level. I don't talk to any of those guys anymore.

came back like in 04 and have played it off and on. But i've played mostly during 06 and now up until like 2 months ago and now i've stopped playing again

i've been tired of having no lvl 99's, so one awhile i get on and grind some levels in and then stop

What a mistake that was.

I was introduced to RuneScape as a game sometime during the summer of 2004. During this time, I was in summer camp, and I had been an avid "Tactics Arena Online" player at the time as well. During the times we were allowed to play a game on the computer, most of us campers played on Miniclip. It was on miniclip that I discovered RuneScape. I signed up for an account, and then when I got home later, decided to test it out. I have been on three different accounts since, my latest (and most likely last) being Xelb. I have been addicted to the game for over 5 years now, and so I can safety say that this was the time period that I joined in.

OCT 05 around the Halloween event ( I was so noob that I thought the grim reaper always appeared when you died long afterwords lol) I do also have a RSC account though I'm not positive when I "joined" RSC

So the selling price of a Phat was 10gp ? (or a bit more if sold at the same time)
If I remember well, it used to be 1 or 3 gp, at the time we could still sell them in any general store.

By the way, about me :
Started in September 04, became member at level 86, in late June 05, until I stopped playing in March 08.
It was a great and interesting experience, in many points, even if I realized after that I played too much

Started in 04 I think and got to level 20. Only really got back into it when RS2 came out. Reached f2p combat 123 and don't play anymore.

I started in March 2005. I had membership by June 2005. Within the first day I was playing Castle Wars. I was addicted. Not until about a year ago did the minigame start growing old for me. Here I am today with over 5,000 tickets. Then end.

I vaguely remember playing it during 2005, but I stopped after I got killed by a stupid farmer I began again in 2007, and was mainly on and off. I have only started playing seriously again since the beginning 2009's first school term. So, all-in-all, considering months instead of actual years, I have only been playing seriously for about a year now. But I started about 4 years ago

I started playing in 2004 sometime, my brother showed me the game. I had one account until sometime in 2005 which then I made a new one (Starwars885) because I was getting nowhere and I wanted to start fresh (My first account has a yo-yo).

Erm, s single day after the party hats >.< I know the blues were only 1m or something when I realise how cool they were

But some glitches took away some holiday items (So long yo-yo...) so I'm a bit annoyed, R.I.P thing on a string...

Christmas 2005, just in time for the yo-yo

I thought the game was absolutely cool then, I had never played a 3-D game back then. I played and played and played, soon got addicted. The holiday items back then were completely awesome. I mean, cool new hats and scarves, RUBBER CHOOK, zombie head, and it was so fun.

Over the years, I got tired with the immaturity in Runescape and the stupid, pointless updates Jagex made. But I couldn't quit, I was too addicted.

I have thought of quitting many times but never really did. Then, on the 18th of January 2009, I made a decision that would make the rest of my computering life. I quit Runescape.

It was all rather sudden. The day before that, I just got tired of Runescape because there was nothing to do at the combat level 92 and, very suddenly, decided to quit. The next day, I wanted to come on again, but I held my decision. I never played it ever since. Even now, I'm scared to get onto RS, or it would draw me back in and I would play again. After a few weeks, the urge to play RS was overwhelming, but I shakily held on. Just today, I made a name reservation for Mechscape and created a new account, Sofeeeeee (I wasn't going to play it on RS). Even then, I had the thought of playing RS, but I quickly dismissed it.

It was hard. Very hard.

I heard about Runescape and made an account in late 2005 but I didn't really start playing until mid 2006.

I first joined in 2004 on the account "killrpotato," I joined because all my friends were playing (peer pressure ) but didn't really understand the leveling concept of the game and quit after I got killed by a mugger soon after (worst decision ever). Anyway, I rejoined on the account "lancegoatman" in 2008, and also got killed on that one, but found out a lot about the game during that time, and got so addicted that I made the account "killrrhubarb" a month before the christmas event last year, and have only died 7 times on this account. anyway, I have also made the accounts "skilrrhubarb" and "strrhubarb" after that, one for being a strength pure and one fore being a skiller. I made strrhubarb for CANAD (create a noob account day) which I made up and about 4 people were apart of. Anyway, that's my runescape life.

October 2005 around the Halloween Event. I didn't do that event because I had no clue what was going on.

2001 for my first file. 2003 for Heart Flame. The rarest items I had on my first guy were a green mask (which I bought at 600k at the time.... the 600k was given to me by a friend who quit. I was such a newb then, didn't have more than 20k before my friend quit) which I sold shortly after because I didn't understand the RS economy, and a disk of returning... which I also sold early.

i began playing runescape in 2001 i dont remember the month but it was in the first weeks of runescape =] i still play rsc, but i have transfered my acc's and there rares such as h'weens , blue phat(noob acc) and purple phat (on odinneo atm) and other such as disks of returning...ive gone through like 3 accs including my prized lvl 115 main...(banned for autoing, item scamming) =] if ya wanna chat add me at "odinneo" or one of my pures like "urban cow" or "antioxidents" im on alot =]

i started in 31 October 2008, i didn`t knew what where quests, holiday and other stuff and... i didn`t finish swept away or the holiday(didn`t even started it)

I quit on the 18th of January, 2009 though. That is probably the best thing I've done in my whole life. It wasn't easy. I was going to ask my friend to try out Runescape, but then I thought that I shouldn't ruin her life like it ruined mine.

2001, ftw, I still go on classic now and then, but I do like new runescape too.

2002 back when I was 6.....I found it on miniclip :P
