It's almost time to kick off Summer. Though the calendar says Summer doesn't start until June 20th, it's Summer as soon as you get out of school. If you don't have the luxury of a Summer vacation, then Summer means that little rest between work and more work. In any case, Summer means fun and recreation.

MechScape World wants to kick off Summer with a project. A yearbook of sorts, the community quilt is a common project across fansites. We're giving you 150x150 pixels of space to put whatever you want. This quilt will be around forever.



Requirements:
- Quilt Square MUST be 150px by 150px
- Less than 100KB
- Saved as .PNG format, but we will also accept high-quality .JPG
- You only get ONE square in the quilt
- Your quilt square MUST have your MechScape World forum name on it, so we know who's square is who.

General Rules
Your quilt square must be respectful to MechScape World and it's members. It cannot contain any offensive language, offensive images, advertising, or insults. If we find a quilt square objectionable we will send you a message.

You have until July 11th to complete your quilt square. You may change it as many times as you want, but please keep us up to date on which version is the newest (such as editing your previous post). Any colour, any pictures. By July 15th we'll place the quilt up for everyone to view and download. It should be a fairly large image when we're all done! Just post your quilt square in this topic and we'll run along and save them as we go.

We encourage the community to help other members to create their quilt squares. If you have graphic skills or would like to set up a shop, this would be a great opportunity. Just make sure it has THEIR name on it and not yours.

If MechScape World gets 100K posts by July 1st, your admin PoultryChamp and moderator MC will do something fun for your enjoyment! Try to guess what it is! =D
(If we get 100K posts before July 1, it wont be done until the end of June)

Yes. Just make the request that you'd like to have the pieces together in the quilt and I'll make sure I can. The quilt will be 5 squares across, and several down.

It's not a competition. Nobody wins anything. It's like a community yearbook.

You can make the quilt themed anything you want. As long as it's respectful and follows the basic rules.

No, that's incorrect. Posts are pruned, which means you have to go to the latest post and look at the post id to find the amount of posts. Currently MSW has 89, 468 posts. ;)

Gettin started on mine

Max: If you open up a new window on GIMP at 150 by 150 and then open up your pic as a new layer. then you select that layer and go to Image: Scale Image. Then click the chain on the right hand side of the dimensions and then type in 150 and 150. That will scale it with minimal pixilization.
