And, while there looks to be a humanoid race, there's no hint of a Japanese theme although the idea of mechanised bodysuits and gun-hands are in some of the earlier concept art.

you do know thats Warhammer 40k right? lol. But yeah i like the Tau there a cool race, i used to collect space orks. But no i dont think Jagex would copy a race, altough its sorta a universal alien look, sooo who knows might be something similar but not based on.

Well I guess they could. It would be pretty cool if they had GW looking monsters and aliens (Of course without infringing copyright) just because the GW monsters generally look very cool.

Well hopefully we're given a bit more of a choice for what our character looks like, such as customizable armor etc.

And of course if it looked exactly like that Jagex would get sued

My main concern is the Japanese katana thing. I really don't want anime fans to see MS as somewhere they can go and pretend they're Naruto or whatever because I think that'll drag the quality of the game down - it's the same reason I don't want katanas in RS as well because they'll be overused by the OMGJAPANESE people and so ruined for everyone else.

Maybe, maybe not. It's hard to say as yet, but the unknown race will definitely not be called alien, as both the pliigi and the mortiga are alien, but they have there own names.
