I've seen different writing styles of how people use have/has, especially when using a group of people as the subject of the sentence.
For example:
Jagex have a lot of money.
Jagex has a lot of money.
The company have lost stocks.
The company has lost.
Now, personally, I have always used to 'has' option. I consider Jagex as a group of people, thus making them one, and I've always considered this proper grammar.
What is your stance on this?

Yeah, I would tend to agree with you. Jagex is a company with lots of employees so it should be has.

Have- I, you, they, we, more than 1 person. I use "have" when referring to me a 2nd person or more than 1 person.
Has- he, she, a person's name. I usually use "has" when referring to a third person.

Singular word = has, Plural word = have
Jagex is one company, so "has" would be the proper word.

If you are talking about Jagex as a single entity you say 'has'. If you are talking about Jagex as a collection of employees then you say 'have'.

Ren, do you teach English part time? That's what my one English teacher would have said. I remember that lesson too in English class.

It's funny how I thought about posting this topic a few weeks ago.

I usually use "has" for Jagex, but sometimes I say "they have..." when talking about the employees.

If you say Jagex has lots of employees, then it's grammatically correct if you use
have and not has.
