Whell i seen a load of Sketch Up work here on MSW so i decided to check it out =]
As you can see this is my first time plus it only took 20 minutes PLUS i'm not
artistic any way i thought you guys would like to laugh at me.

A decent first attempt. Kinds looks like Bender from "Futurama" or Rosie from "The Jetsons". Actually looks like they got together and had a baby.

I love that you added a shadow, Although like you said it only took 20 mins. If you work on it longer it will turn out better.

definitely not a bad first attempt with sketchup. Next thing to work on is adding different layers and making it truly 3d. Its difficult, but the makers of sketchup made a bunch of tutorial vids to help out with that. It helped me out a lot when i was learning. (last week :P)

I have a bit on my HDD, if this craze continues I might upload it.

But, for now, some tips - The draw tool is your friend, don't just use the rectangle and circle tools but draw odd shapes and extend them, or if you want them to taper then use the draw tool along the vertical axis.

That is pretty awesome for a first attempt. I myself have been thinking of modelling something MechScape-related on SketchUp. Never got round to it yet!

It looks okay for a first try . Try put some shading on, and take off the checkers for flames. Checkers for flames . I like how 'Mechscape' is on the chest and I like the font, add a little more detail to it .
