I like it, best one I've seen so far! The damaged metal border is a nice touch and good use of concept art.

Keep it up!

You did a pretty good job on it. You probably got the layout pretty close to what they might do but then again maybe not. They might do something that is completely different from the RuneScape layout. Some parts of it could be better but you have done a lot of work on it. I give it a 8/10.

Wow, that looks really nice. Honestly, I liked the old Runescape home page better than the updated one. The new one is too modern and a lot harder to navigate around, in my opinion. I hope Jagex chooses to go back to a style that is easy for everyone to use (even though I'm sure they'd prefer people in-game playing rather than roaming the site).

Great job, I really like it, and I can definitely see the inspiration taken from the current home page
The only thing that you could improve on would be the buttons at the top: they don't really stand out from the back ground very well. I suggest either make a border around them or texture them! Also the greeny-blue background colour (dark turquoise?) stands out quite a lot so I suggest either moving the various text boxes closer together so that it is less noticeable and doesn't draw attention away from the main part of the 'site'.
P.S I really like the Ad!
Not bad, I like it. I'd be sort of surprised if it launched translated into French and German already, though. *Mouthfoam*

I was also considering making my own Photoshopped version of the MechScape Homepage. Present times have been busy though, so that's resulted in me not being able to have the time to do it.

Heh, take a look at the buttons on the RuneScape homepage/other websites for inspiration. If you look at the RuneScape ones, they are similar to your original ones (gradiented) but there is a border around each of them of a couple of mill helping them stand out from the rest of the site and each other. If I were you, I would revert back to the original buttons with their gradient but use a colour that stands out from the background more and give them a border, not sure what colour, play around with it.

I personally think it looks like shit.
Taking images that won't even be on the actual Mechscape site, (maybe in artwork but not in front page)
It's very unrealistic.
You just added borders and words.
