The more art I see, the more I can't wait for this game.

Does anyone know if Jagex has a booth at the Game Developers conference, and if so is there any MechScape-related material there?

It's not the right resolution for that on my PC, else it would probably be replacing my older space themed one (well, it's the same theme and subtly about my favourite game) because it is so amazingly awesome.

Ren and Laura are so lucky to have a version to hang on the wall.

apparently there are cars, zoom in and look at road,

What I see:
-Space ship
-Rock with gems; to me looks like more of a worship alter because if it was for like ores the shape of the rock wouldn't look like that
-Vehicles looks like road transportation, some kind of car
-City; industrial you can see smoke coming from it

The big gem in the right, if you zoom in you can see a face on the reflection! It does look human looks like he has some kind of helm or something. lol unless I am hallucinating. :p

wow. now you can see alot more stuff in it than the other picture of it. Looks awsome. And the rock thing looks like a monster to me.

Lol, Ren can't see it either, well it does look like something is reflected from it, anyone look at it and take a guess on what you think it is. And if anyone can put up a better picture of that zoom in.

If you ask me, this city was built around a Crater, formed in the ground.
It looks as though this is just one small city, out of many other ones: There are roads leading to other ones, and usually towns are built by water.

The interesting part however, is the Water, or what appears to be water. This may conclude that this planet is earth. Therefor, we are looking at a futuristic earth that has been torn down and quite out of shape. Looking at the small city, it could be a sign of a corrupt Government, where small fractions were forced to find refuge (the red sphere eye thing in the lower right could possibly be a Big Brother Government, watching over.)

Forgive me for a pretty much repeated post, but I will again restate what I see in this image-

This amazing looked area seems to, I again state, a Near Future area. The vehicles and buildings, to me, look very similar to those of modern buildings. Which give off a close future feeling. I'll call this place the "Riverside Town."

The sinister looking, Red Crystal Dome Citadel could imply a part within the story or side mission, etc. Maybe, it is the hidden base for sneak assaults from hostiles to the Riverside Town. Or, maybe it is an allied military base, or maybe a lab where biological and technical experiments are being preformed, hell it could be a random person's home... But I can't shake off the similar looks of the structure.
To me, it looks like the Grim Reaper, with a sharp hood, and two wings, holding the red crystal, and looking down on it. Or a winged mother cradling and holding the Red Crystal Dome structure to her chest. It could be an ancient man or LifeForm-made structure or temple. In which it can imply the use of religion and magics within the storyline or game, and also a hint at SteamPunk being a possible combined genre in this Sci-Fi filled universe...

Yet once again, it could may as well be just "The Red Crystal Dome on the side of the mountain."

Hmm... I still think that is a possible deformed mech on the right side of the river, north of the bridge. But it could as well be the artist playing with colors, or just a couple of trees or a small facility.

I see the deformed mech as well, actually see a few of them around. But that specific one looks deform and being destroyed by fire.

Look at the second ship in the top left corner, then look at the ground just behind it.
Those two look like mechs.

i think that town or we will be like the player owned houses in runescape, one person owns the town trying to make a good economy researching new items and then using that red crystle to switch back and forth between it and the real world where you can sell things that you produced in your economy, see other people, or do quest. The economy in the picture also looks like a middle age town, eg you start off with a farm land economy, work your way to industrial, then advance to a high tech one where u can start making things to go outside of the planet.

If you look up above the bridge, you will see a mech that appears to be in a firefight with the tower; this leads me to believe this is some sort of military base or other location requiring the use of heavily armed guard towers.

First thing I did as well (and now I'm resizing it because a lot of it is cut off). When I saw the pic of it the other day I was thinking that it would make an awesome desktop pic.

Looks nice. It looks like you'll actually be able to look up into the sky or see the mountains. Also looks like there will be larger things around, seeing the flying ships and sky scrapers. All in all the picture got me more excited for mechscape to come out!!!

I'm glad Jagex has chosen to share concept art with us. This will make a great background.

Personally, I don't think that Jagex should release these Posters so early, or anymore serious concept art. Just remember everyone, the poster isn't necessarily what the game is going to look like. Take a look at Runescape Wallpapers, compare that to RS itself ha. I have a lot of hope for this game, but let's not all get TOO excited. :)

Probably a big Gem, or a big core like the one inside the Mortiga.

I've never mentioned this, but the red gem looks like it would serve a similar purpose as summoning obelisks in RuneScape. Maybe used to recharge something or another?

What if the black part was like the Wilderness in RuneScape?

I do hope it has PvP in it though. Even if it has a system where by Pk'ing people you recieve points/tokens where you can buy powerful equipment, I wouldn't mind. A wilderness idea would be cool.

Perhaps a desolate planet solely for war? Oh the possibilities.

I would wait until they have the beta out or the requirements confirmed for two reasons: (1) you will know how powerful of a computer you will need and (2) computers become cheaper over time.

1st of all, is that an offcial picture...if it is...holy crap it looks freaking awesome and holy crap i am so gonna play mechscape...if its not official, ehh, who cares lol

anyway people were saying that you can see a face on that big red crystal on the right side. I can personally see it. The face is looking at you, in it's front facial view. The eye on the left has like a pink patch on it and the eye on the right is like a black dot. and like 1 cm below that is like a half moon shaped lip. To me it looks like some ork. anyhow this doesnt explain anything significant

i can put the picture onto my background desktop and i like it there. i also can see a river so we know that there will be water in the game lol. also if you look at the river, there is like a long island in the middle of the river and there is no other way to get to that island unless you teleport, swim, fly, or travel underground so mechscape HAS to have at least 1 of the 4 things i said

Yeah, wow dude i just noticed the face too. It looks like half of it is red to the left side of it and the right side is the face (in the gem). It's head is shaped kind of like half of a moon, and the mouth is also like half a moon like you said. I don't think it has anything interesting about it but it's pretty cool seeing it. Probably cause i never saw it in the beginning when Ed5 was talking about it.
