It just isn't contemporary. It looks like it fits better with web 1.0 :P. What program did you do to create this?
I find myself wanting to look at the ad because it's the only thing that doesn't hurt my eyes...

yea i think i used a bit too much black and blue...
EDIT: before anyone asks, i used negative pictures because the background of the original was white, and i was too lazy to color in ALL the different little color spots around the image.

Aggg, too much blue... And you need some kind of background picture.
It's a good layout though.

Wow that pretty good for fan made. I did not like the two colour aspect of it, it would look better if there was a multitude of diffrent pictures and colors.

It didn't make much of an impression on me when I first saw it, if I'm honest.
But man, then I read you did it in MS Paint! WOW. For an MS Paint job, it's awesome!

before i say anything, no need to copy the first post.
thanks for the 4/6. the test woulsn't be hard to read if it wasn't a jpeg, but i don't know how to save it otherwise.
EDIT: the advert i took a screenshot with the hypersnap 20-day trial. GREAT program!
the mouse on the advertisement was an accident lol.
EDIT:EDIT: uploading v3 right now!

Pick a friendlier color of blue next time :)
If you need an example I think the Funorb page is the color I am looking for.
Also, you don't need blue font. The borders of the page provide enough of a blue "feel". Try using a white font or something else that is friendly and easy to read.
I'd vote it a 5/10 for now, and a 8/10 if the font and color was changed.
Nice job for what you have done however

I like what you have come up with.

Anyway it looks a lot like runescape 2 homepage before the HD update homepage but mechscape version. I hope jagex can do better and i feel like designing my own mechscape site lol ty
