PoultryChamp has completed the new layout for home homepage!

In addition to the fantastic color scheme and logo, there are also more features on the homepage than before; such as the "Latest Forum Posts", "Latest Site News", "New Images", and much more! The FAQ has been updated as well, which includes basic questions about MechScape for newcomers

Also, if you find any problems with the homepage please PM a moderator or administrator.

There is a lot going on in the graphic and you may even think up your own story to go with it!

The new look is twice as good as it was before.

It loaded quickly for me. Although I don't know how dial up would handle it.

How about changing the black text on the right side? It's a bit hard to read on the dark background.

I think the new layout looks really good. I know you don't want it to be permanent do to the loading time but perhaps if you give the option for users to select skins keep it for that :p

Nice one! I remember this from your WIP. Good to see it come to life! Certainly a lot different.

My main crit would be the text colour - change it all to white. It will make it so much easier to read. Even some of the links are black; they should all be the yellowy colour you opted for.

Wow, I'm totally impressed by this, especially love the banner pic at top. Just the text needs to better contrast with the crimson/red background.

Just need to work on formatting text a little to fit the theme. That's my only complaint. Surprisingly it loads faster then the majority of other websites I visit for the 'large' header. :P

I can't wait for version 2.0 as this is already a fantastic start.

Amazing change. About the Dial-up users, why not adding a option to view the page simpler instead of changing it like gmail has? I love this skin =)

I mean absolutely no offense to you PoultryChamp, but although the new layout is artistic and great, i do not like it in comparison to the old one. You definitely did a good job however.

Brilliant stuff, really like the colour scheme. :)

The only thing I'd say is what others have mentioned about some text formatting here and there/using white instead of black.

I honestly can't say I like it too much. It's too commercial-looking in my opinion. The entire page seems ablaze in my face; the old one looked much cooler and more futuristic/industrial, which I really liked. You did a good job, but I just liked the old one much better and this just isn't really my taste I guess. Could we add a choice of themes to the main page too? Or better yet: Make the themes we choose universal (so that the theme you choose applies to everything--the main page, the forum, the arcade).

I agree, the forums need a new skin to match. Also, a skin selector would be nice, I liked the old one because it fitted in better with my browser.
