I didn't see any FF topics around (excluding the FF13 one, but that's old). Are there any other Final Fantasy fans here? I've been a fan since my uncles introduced me to FF7 around 11 years ago. I currently own FF Tactics, FF Chronicles (FF4 and Chrono Trigger), FF7 , FF8 and FFX-2. I've played some of the others but haven't bought them yet and I am currently waiting for FF13 to come out.

I just recently got into playing FF7 again (on the second disc) and I am going to be starting new games on FF Tactics and possibly Chrono Trigger soon.

What about you guys? Which game of the series is your favorite? What about your favorite character or summon? What do you like (or dislike) about each game? Anything else you want to discuss? Post!

I tried Final Fantasy 12 once, but I didn't like the fighting system. It's very nice otherwise.

Yeah - I wasn't a huge fan of the fighting system in FF12.

Oh maybe I just tried the wrong game... I guess FF13 wont come out for xbox360?

I think they\'re planning to release it for the Xbox 360 as well.

I've plaid a lot of versions of Final Fantasy. Tactics is the last one I've played.

I'm a big FF Tactics advance and FF tactics advance 2 fan. I'll probably start playing FF IV and Chronicles on the DS soon.

Surprisingly I never was able to play FF7. Lack of PlayStation One system.

Though, when I DID have a PS1, I had Final Fantasy VIII and I absolutely enjoyed the game. In my opinion, FF8 had the best storyline out of the FFF (Final Fantasy Franchise - don't you just love acronyms? ). I also owned FF XII and I easily got through that game (almost finished all the hunts too, but my PS2 got demolished). Then there's FF X which was an OK game. X-2 was an epic failure, but the slightly enhanced battle system was kind of cool.

The only Final Fantasy games I can play now are the advanced/SNES versions on a computer emulator. ;)

I found the fighting system in Final Fantasy 12 very fun, it's a huge improvement from the older one. If you don't like the fact that the game pauses when you bring up the battle menu, you can turn it off by changing the options.

That's exactly what I did.

I really enjoyed the feeling of playing an MMO in FF XII. It helped keep the game fresh and I would cuss at my characters every once in a while, just like if they were humans.

I think I played one on the gameboy or play station. I didnt like it.

I guess I am so used to the system form previous games.

I'm a huge fan of FFX and FFX2. The story line in FFX is amazing but has a sad ending then FFX2 makes it a happy ending.

Has anyone played FFXI online? I'm wondering if I should give it a try or not.
