Hello, i just wanted to ask you guys, do you play this awesome fps game? I mean, if you don't like it, you're obviously not a fan of FPS games... Well, this topic can be used to discuss CS 1.6 and maybe you want to arrange a friendly game or something. And also leave your opinion on this game.

N.B. No posts like "CS:S is way better", because it's not.

Lol, but seriously... I just know that there are going to be people who are going to be saying that CS:S is better. They just seek games with best graphics... And Wth, I'm starting an argument right now.

I used to play CS 1.6 LAN games, that was fun. Then I moved onto CS:S.

No one will play me because I'm too good at school. My average at school is around 7 kill/death. I'm not kidding either. (with no sound btw)

Never played 1.6 but several CS players always say they prefer 1.6 over CSS gameplay wise.

I play 1.6 and usually a lot of it. Though I am recovering from a 12+ month break from the game, so I have lots of warming up to do. My favorite map is scoutzknivez and I used to get around 100+ kills / <30 deaths. One of the best memories I have from my golden days of CS was how many servers I would get kicked/banned from for being accused of hacking - hilarious.

I just got a check in the mail so I plan on buying another copy of CS again. So hells ya. Hopefully your face will get to meet my bullets soon. ;)

That's one thing I don't understand. Just because you able to pull off insane averages does not mean you are hacking, cheating, or doing anything that would be 'wrong'. I have been kicked off of so many network/LAN games at school (there is usually 2-3 games going throughout the day) that it's funny. So I changed my username one day and within about 5 minutes I was already being accused of hacking and they were kicking me out. Lets just say that they are extremely lucky that I haven't competed in any of the fps games tournaments there. I would be one hell of a rich person.

Dizzy, what is your style? Sniper? Assault? Etc?

My style is semi-auto sniper or the most powerful one. Whichever I can get a hold of first.

More of Sharpshooter (i.e. AK-47, M4A1, and Scout). I'm usually highly against AWP usage (sometimes it'll be your mistake if you use one against me, when I'm using the scout), auto-shotguns, and the auto-rifles.
You just don't want to mess with me at a long range.

I'm not good at far ranges, as my computer is so bad. I can't aim properly. Still I'm good at close range, and I love taking out people with knives. Have you guys ever made a ninja-defuse? It's hilarious when the terrorists go "WTF, you fu**ing noob, why didn't you guard the bomb" and other useless comments like that. My favourite map for ninja defusing would be de_cbble.

Unless they REALLLYYYY suck, it's impossible to get 7kills and 1 death.

I can do one shots in the head in Css, and more in cs 1.6 when I get used to it again. I never got those scores. I always averaged maybe 1-1, or 2-1, never more then that.

You can't do better then that in a evenly matched game. Too many people hide their wall hacks/aim bot.

Have any of you guys played the modifications of CS 1.6? Death-Run must be my favourite. It's so fun... Then I would have to go with Kreedz Jumping. It's relaxing, and can be fun at times with friends.

Check it out, they're amazing... I suggest you use the Quick-Gaming servers, they are the most stable ones. You might need to learn some skills like B-hopping and strafe jumps.

Counter-Strike isn't the same anymore. It's impossible to find any regular server that's not hosted by Quick Gaming and all those other big-time server hosts. Hackers seem to be getting their hands on ridiculous new things and it's just becoming ruined.

Luckily there's still a few goodies. One of my favorites is the RAD clan. Check them out, you may see me there (often too since I am a regular).

I play 1.6 you could say...CS 1.6 GoldenEye mod. Can't get enough of it.

I used to play CS but now I play CS:S, I stopped playing because after a while everyone is pretty much the same godlike shooter and its just a question of luck.

Nice to know that there's other people out there who think the same thing as I do. Most people who play Counter-Strike 1.6 nowadays are in fact quite skilled, but there are still those who will always reign supreme and they are the veteran CS players. They're the ones who got to experience beautiful registry and they are the ones who played with little to no server modifications other than the ultimate sounds and rankings. I remember when the WC3 mod was just barely becoming popular -- nowadays you got those stupid zombie mods and death runs infesting the server list. Good old CS. Bad new mods.
