PUBLIC ENTRY FORM
Name: Tyler Johnson
Forum Name: MC
Age: 16
Date Entry Finished: (You can fill this out when you're done) Today, 12/08/09
Description of Entry: A picture of Poultrychamp designed to appear much older than it is. I started out by increasing the exposure to achieve a perfectly smooth, flawless skin type of effect while also trying to capture the effect of a period camera. I messed with the tones to make it more sepia, as well. In order to achieve an aged, crumpled up type of effect, I took a scan of a piece of crumpled up white computer paper, turned it into a displacement map, had the image slightly displaced to the shape of the wrinkles, and then overlayed the paper.
Entry:

I give permission for Laura Reed and/or MechScape World to display and modify this image as she/they see fit for their purposes.

So, what was World War I like PC? Did you work in a big factory to support the war? Please, tell me a story of what the 1900's was like. biggrin.gif

...to achieve a perfectly smooth, flawless skin type of effect...

Are you insuinuating that she has wrinkles? o.o

really cool picture, the effects worked well. The only thing I have a problem with is that her eyes are making mine hurt. smile.gif

maybe it's because it's without her wrinkles. ninja.gif

That's cool. Could you do a burn effect or stains if you wanted? You don't need to, just wondering.

Never meant to insinuate that PC has wrinkles. By using exposure to create a very smooth, featureless, "perfect" skin effect, I was simply going for an effect, not to remove flaws. If you're referring to the fact that I said "shape to the wrinkles" (Or whatever), I meant the wrinkles of the crumpled paper effect.
PoultryChamp
I have flaws now? :O

Everyone does. Even Pipin's latest celebrity fantasy girl.

I like how the paper is folded. it adds a cool efect. it makes the picture look older.
