I was making an account on RuneScape to use on MechScape and the coolest name i could think of was Mech Gamer is this a cool name? will people stop look at my name and drool? lol tell me your thoughts! What usernames does everyone else have?

Ahh tbh its not too bad. People like genarally related names. This has mech in it so thats coverd. Also, no numbers is a plus. You also DONT have any numbers. Thats good too. Nice.

I generally don't like usernames that are taken from the game title except when its obviously taken like this. Then I woudl consider it rather interesting and people will probably remember your name a bit more.

Instead of a name like mechamaster or something like that I just settled for Idest. Something short, sweet, and easy to remember. Short names are hard to come by.

Yeah its not bad, the lack of numbers is good (as mentioned by pretty much everyone lol)

Personally, I have Mech One, One Mech, Run Mech Run and some others lol

I doubt by the way that MechScape will have its own name engine, as they will link it to Runescape like they have done with FunOrb. However, on the release of a new game, they may make the max length of a username greater, or delete all unused accounts (those at level 3 with no skill stats that have not been used in a while).

Very possible but it would be rather anoying to see someone's username that is longer then their average statements they say. Clearing up the unused accounts that no one has been to in like 4+ years wouldn't be a bad thing at all. Of course only the lvl3s would make it even safer. It's almost impossible to get a good name that doesn't have some numbers at the end. I was extremely lucky to coin Idest in the first place. Anything similar is taken already... just found that one username that was untaken.

I guess that is the downside to having so many people sign up over time.

What about Mechscape? that would be the best username anyone will ever get... Anyways im preety sure MechScape will share usernames with RuneScape & FunOrb...

MechScape is taken already and 100% chance that Jagex wouldn't allow it. Infact Mr MechScape (Ren's acc) was removed. :|

I really hope, that they make it completely seperate, rather than bunched together.

So, just say, on the day that you have to make your Mechscape account. So you would have these subscription plans:

MechScape
Mechscape & FunOrb

Rather than Runescape and FunOrb. I will be playing MechScape for a fresh start, not a continuation on from RuneScape.
But in the case that they are all bunched together, I am keeping my current RuneScape username, simply because I have had it since 2004, it is a medal of sorts.

Yeah im getting impatient for MechScape especially when they dont give us any info on the game I dunno if this game is going to be good or bad...

I managed to get Dacites the other day, that was like the shortest word that I could find. The only other word after going through random words from a dictionary I could get was Osculatory (it pleased me cause it started with osc). By increasing the limit on the length of the name I am only suggesting by 2 or 3 letters any more would get a bit ridiculous.

I don't think anyone is going to write home about "Mech Gamer"

I mean we realize the game is Mechscape and that your playing it. There probably only going to think "He played this game ever since it came out"

Which isn't saying much seeing how popular Jagex is at the moment.

I'd go with something a bit more creative.

Sounds like a robot like name... I'm going to say that it is a good name. No numbers is a big bonus. The size is alright and uniqueness is semi to pretty good. I'll give it a 9/10

I've also recently check out the sign up form and they changed it again. Now it gives suggestions that are pretty good. I'm still content with my name though; don't think I'll change anytime soon.

If they do decide to just carry accounts across into MechScape, I have one account in particular that I am going to play.

Its called: "Jack Rollem". I pretty much made it for the soul purpose of MechScape, in the case that they don't create a whole new userbase.

Basically, its just my first name, and then my "gamertag" as such, that I have used all throughout WoW when I played that, and I have used it in some other places since then.

I agree, most people would only say you have played it a long time. So "Mech Gamer" is not bad, but you could have done a better.

Im only gonna be using 1 account like i did with RS.

I too will only be using one acct in mechscape. I havent decided though if Im going to use Ace Clique 7, which is my runescape acct name, or another name.

I also created an acct which was similair to an acct I had in runescape that was a pure. My pures name was Liljokermage, but the mechscape acct I made is named Liljokermech. I just liked it because it was available.

Finally I made one completely different as to create originality and restore preparedness. This acct name is Mech Minded.

I trully dont know which Ill be using but as time nears, Ill decide.

you know what. i think its a great name as its not to serious like people will actually stop and be like nice name mate. but you know when a new game comes out all the original names always get taken. i remember playing runescape when it was released and some idiot hacked me just because i had the a few original user names. like for example: tennis, carnage, bendover. and a few overs. and it always gets your noticed for your gaming life say you make youtube videos people will always remember you.
