Hmm, tricky... At the moment I'd have to say:

Online: Call of Duty 4; brilliant game, albeit with a few flaws.
Offline: Rock Band; I'd never really played Guitar Hero games before - always thought they looked stupid - but when I played this I was amazed by how fun it was. Well, with friends that is.
Computer: C&C series (RA2 being best imo); can't beat a bit of real time strategy, and it doesn't come any better than this. 'Generals' was an interesting creation when EA took over, not very C&C-like but a good game in its own right. I think EA really let it slip with 'C&C3: Tib Wars' though, hopefully they can bring back that classic Westwood RA2 feeling with RA3 in October.

If you want a proper good RTS then you gotta play Starcraft. Everyone knows that.

To me, a favorite game is one that is truly awesome. doesn't have to be most fun, but the best and most worthwile experience.

For me, that was MechWarrior 2: 31st century combat.

No game has yet surpassed or come close, apart from another of the series, MechWarrior 3. Mw2 was the most immersive, made me forget it was a game, most awesome and unique music, a unqie, different, amazing experience, and as realistic, seemingly so complex for realism in ways not seen anymore. A real-life, 1st person perspective once past main menu that i've only seen in one other game (Assasin's Creed with its Animus), epic story, music, voices, perfct for the mood, planets with different gravity and temperatures, affecting your mech as it should IRL, diferent cloud ceiling heights, complex hitbox and damage reporting... I could just keep going. I always make a long post for it. It's also influence my life in many important ways.

It's awesomeness has left me spoiled, make me critical of games and disapointed at them in thigns others consider perfctly normal.

Setting a mood is one of the main way sit seems a game can create a truly unique, memorable experience. The only other game that did that well enough, and is my 2nd fav game...homeworld 2, though ppl say the first is even better. Homeworl 2 was isntead a more cinematic, storytelling appraoch. Black and white cinematics, middle-estern music.

A few other favs are SimCity 3000, City Life, Steel Battalion, and I used to really like nad plat the first splinter cell a lot. Other than these, I find most games to be just the same as most others of same genre. Essentially the same. Only these few stnad out.

online... Navy Field I really liked, it was different, and I was a moderator / part o support team for almost 2 years. Entropia looks pretty cool and i'd like to keep playing, and EVE i wish i could play.
HeartFlame
There are far too many to chose from... I'd implode from the damage done to my brain after telling you I only have around 3 favorites D:

Final Fantasy XII.

I'd never seen such awesome graphics as I saw in FF XII (for the ps2 anyway). The voice acting was great and the cut-scenes amazing. In-depth story line and character personalities and a lot of game content

</love of FF12>
