When Daniel was looking at some of Darren B's concept art he commented to me that the level of detail seemed too high for the current RuneScape engine. It seems like his comment was very astute, as over on RuneScape.com they have announced that they've got a hardware-accelerated graphics mode in the works for RuneScape, and surely it'd be for MechScape also.

Holy snap lol well at least they wouldn't mess this up, hopefully.
My computer will be bad for it anyways, gotta buy another memory card before this update.

The new RS graphics look pretty nice, not as great as some people are making them out to be, but they're nice nonetheless. There's also going to be a full screen mode, which sounds promising. It would make sense for the same accelerated graphics to be used on MechScape also, and I hope that is the case.

This is awesome, I might actually play runescape to see what the graphics are like :). At least this prooves that mechscape graphics are going to be closer than what they're expected to be.
