Another great find Ren! Interesting to.

**Edit (after reading) I am also interested to find out what happens on the money making of fun orb, as you can get those same games all around the net free.

+++++++EDIT EDIT : I also agree : this will affect their partnerships with smiliar sites ( like miniclip), miniclip has the game on their site!

lol. I dont think they are stalkers. This is just good evidence they are doing what they can to protect their investment and also to do their best at making it a suprise to the mmorpg community and runescape fans alike.

But I agrea, lol, wouldnt want to get a job then get fired.

The only juicy thing it said was that the price for a FunOrb subscription was lower than originally planned. It also said that they were glad that it was much more polished.

I guess it's not a complete surprise they'd want to keep the game release a surprise to try and keep us all guessing. Although at some point i'd imagine they'd want to get alot of publicity about all their projects so that they become more popular. Sometimes Jagex do seem to take a weird approach to things.
Jess
Where do you find these things ren!? And well I can't see how they could imagine higher subscription fees to an arcade site.

Agreed. I'd never pay for an arcade site, though. Why do that when there are so many thousands of games out there for free? However, one aspect that I have seen others not discuss much is how FunOrb advertises for RuneScape, which I believe more people would be inclined to pay for. So, even if Jagex offered FunOrb free, I could definitely see them getting more profits than before, because of all of that advertizing.

In my mind, FunOrb may not have been as much a serious way to make money in and of itself, but as an assist to getting more RuneScape members. The FunOrb membership cost is just icing on the cake.

Back on to the topic, though. I can see why Jagex would monitor their employee's statements. After all, they can't have their code becoming open-source for a month because of an enraged worker :P.
