http://web.archive.org/web/20001014120012/....com/games.html shows that Jagex used to be partners with funBug.com and created funBug racing for them (assumably based on the Speed Trial game they licensed to GamesDomain).
Do you think the name similarity between funOrb and funBug has any significance or are they just obvious names for online game sites?

Im sorry it was a typo I had to get a new key board my old one didnt post things that I typed . anyways I said I doubt that it would be another one of jagexs sites. And all you gotta do ead the policies and look at the bottom and it will say what company is running it. =) I hope that helped.

funBug wasn't Jagex's site, but Jagex produced games for it.

Edit:i asked a mod in funorb chess chat lobby if the funorb name was inspired by funbug. he said "funorb and funbug have no connection between them whatsoever, so no"

But was that person involved in coming up with the name funOrb? If it were Andrew who came up with the name he could have come up with it years ago and forgotten the influence funBug had.

ren probably devotes all his freetime to researching this stuff so yeah...
and andrew probably got the idea of funorb from funbug because there was never any mention of funorb until late last year
