Competition Forum. It's been there for a few weeks, gathering posts. If you haven't seen it yet go ahead and check it out now.

First I'd like to clarify on exactly how competitions will be ran. To create a competition the topic creator must have been a MechScape World member for at least two months AND have accumulated more than 100 posts. This will show the creator of the competition is dedicated to the community. Additionally, all competitions must be approved by a moderator, Darth Irule or MrThomas before being active.

Eligibility
All competitions must be open to everyone, even users with 0 posts. We do not know if this law applies to little forums like ours, but we don't want the headache of trying to figure out if we were wrong in court.

Badges
Only contests started by staff will have the ability to earn "points" towards badges, unless otherwise approved ahead of time. This system is new and has not been implemented yet. When it is implemented, a structure will be created to harmonize the difficulty of the contest towards earning the correct amount of points. Point structures will allow you to earn bronze, silver, gold, platinum and rainbow badges. Again, this hasn't been implemented so things may change.

Safety
In the interest of safety no member shall be able to offer "real" prizes. That includes, but is not limited to, prizes that will require you to give out your full name, phone number, email address, home address, school name, Paypal account, or any other sensitive information. Only administrators will be allowed to offer "real" prizes, and we will do so within the confines of the law that governs sweepstakes and gambling.

DO NOT FALL FOR POTENTIAL SCAMS, TRICKS, OR FAKE CONTESTS. If someone PMs or emails you asking for any of the above details, please contact us immediately.

Here are a few contests going on now:
PoultryChamp's Write Something, Win Something. Write why you love and hate MechScape World and you could win a 3-month RuneScape Card. Just in time for Christmas!

Max's Large Piece Competition. The Large Piece Competition is for larger artwork which would not work for Signatures.

Sub-Note: More rules will be created to make sure competition creators keep their promises and stay active in their topics. This will be addressed at a later time.

Awesome to see this out of the box and I really hope this provide incentives that are more worth it. Everyone has been asking for userbadges for awards and now we have them. No excuses now!

I'm going for the rambow badge. :P
Tom
Yey, The ribbon ceremony!

Please also do read this sticky before posting in the competitions forum.

My 'most loved Msw forumer of the month?'

Are you asking why it is not on the list of competitions going on now?

That is because she only picked out a few to put on.
